This would save me refreshing the page through the day to see if it's been updated or not, as I'd then have a rough idea of when it was next likely to update, and I'd know when the current stats were from.

For example, my stats say they're from the 17th (today), but they're not, because early this morning I logged two finds from yesterday, which aren't showing yet.

If it says your stats are from the 17th, then the stats are generated on the 17th. The issue here is that things are a bit more complicated "under the hood".

Your profile stats are generated each day (if you are a paying member of Project-GC) or weekly (if you are not). They are generated from the (then) current state of the database. That may or may not include all your finds up until that date. Reading new finds into the database from geocaching.com is a separate process that runs all the time. It may be in the middle of your last set of logs when your profile stats are generated. These two processes are independent. The stats can't wait for all your finds to be processed before running since it can't know that there are more finds for you to wait for. To find that out means actually reading all the logs first, and since there are new logs all the time, the process generating the stats can't wait for all new logs since then it would never run.

So, the date on the stats tell you when they were generated. If it says "today" you need to wait for "tomorrow" (assuming you are a paying member) even though some of your finds may not have been included in the last run.

Thanks for that. I realise I'll have to wait until tomorrow, but what I meant was that at the moment I don't know whether my stats will be generated tomorrow at a minute past midnight or at a minute past midday, or whenever.

My point was that if the time that the stats were generated was also noted, as well as the date, it would be much easier to estimate when they'd be next updated.
I agreed to the last comment, it seems the statistics are generated about every 24 hours, and apparently the time of day is shifting somewhat. Therefore it would be nice to be able to predict when the next update will be generated, instead of refreshing the page several times a day when you're waiting for a specific update.
I also have the same problem, is there anyway the user can update once a day,(paying member) when they want to,if they want to, rather than the site doing it?
