Creating dynamic image HTML code for public profile.

Question

I have used the code generated by clicking the "Create dynamic image HTML code" button in Project-GC but it ends up showing metric distances instead of imperial distances.  If we just log into Project-GC and look at our states it shows the correct imperial measurements.  How do I correct it in what shows in my public profile?

When i look at your pgc stats i see all measurement in metric i guess when you view them on the website they uses the the users preference. I would guess that the stat on my profile http://project-gc.com/ProfileStats/target. is in imperial

There i a settings button on http://project-gc.com/ProfileStats/ just below the Profile stats text where you can choose distance units for export and my guess is determines what is exported to the image used at the gc.com bio.

By the way i would argue that the imperial measurements are correct. USA started to use metric it in 1866 and all of your units are defined as a conversion from SI unites.

SI (International System of Units) is the name of the measurement system the rest(almost) of the world uses. It is a metric system but not the metric system because there has been others ans om are still used in some cases

Yes, when you look at stats on Project-GC (your own or someone else's), you will see them using the measurement system you have set in your preferences. The measurement system used when exporting profile stats for use on your geocaching.com profile page is (as Target says) defined by the Export language setting in the settings on the Profile Stats page itself. Note that language works in the same way with one setting for what you see yourself and another for what gets exported.

Don't slam the US for hanging on to imperial. Neither Myanmar nor Liberia have changed over either. At least not officially. ;)

But it's so much fun to slam the Americans. Though on this subject as a Brit it does slightly leave me exposed given in the UK we only half heartedly adopted it - lengths are generally measured in metres but distances and speeds are miles. Until the road signs are changed it is going to stay that way, and the road signs aren't likely to change as that costs lots of money...
