I just used Claude ...... and he explained what the issue was with the Hint Decrypt section (I had to give him the html section of the code from a cache page). anyway, I tested this and it appears to fix the issue. Lines 966-969 of the script.

It's not a bug. That's how the extremes work. If you find a geocache which is an extreme but then it is surpassed by a different cache, then that different cache becomes a new extreme while the former loses its extreme status and you no longer have an extreme found.

It is especially common for extremes based on dynamic cache properties, such as finds amount, FP amount or the Wilson score you have mentioned.

The sorting issue sems to be solved, all lines stay in sync.

I would like to be able to enlarge the table to the right and to the bottom as it was before, now you have to work with the arrow in the table and/or decrease the column wodths. It works but a bit more work to customise the view. Sorry, I missed the maximise option. That makes it great!

I would personally be against such a badge.

When you are abroad you probably will not be able to make events larger than typical 30-minute 'meet and greet' events. So you would need to host many of them, and that would really promote quantity over quality...

Also you would probably not meet many geocachers at such events, you probably would even be alone in team of event hosts many times. As an example, in my home area, even though there are several active geocachers, many of recent meet and greet events hosted by cachers from abroad here were either attended only by event hosts, or I was the only event attendee other than the event hosts there.

We will consider this. But we also want to make it clear to users where to unsubscribe them. Some keeps pressing spam instead of unsubscribing or just deleting the notifier, and it is a very big issue.

There's no tool that shows that if that's what you're asking. As most people have usually logged the cache before adopting it the "Find Bad Logs"-tool is usually a pretty good indicator for adopted caches. It still requires manual research to see if they were adopted and in what direction tho.

I have experienced the same problem on Project-GC where the stats would update, but the challenges do not. Perhaps giving it some time or refreshing the page manually will do the trick, but if it does not work, making sure all challenge requirements are met is what should come next. The here Tracker seems more efficient to me!

Custom lists on FTF tab

It would be great to be able to add custom lists to the FTF tab in Profile Stats. Currently, this is only possible on the Milestones tab and the Hiden tab.

For example, I would like to add a list of "real" FTFs that do not include all-day friendly FTFs or event FTFs.

Someone could add, for example, a list of STFs and TTFs.

You've already explained in your post that the cache is in Rheinland Pfalz so this is not a bug it's working as intended. Project-GC uses coordinates to calculate that the cache is inside the regional border and then uses that calculated region. If you look at the cache coordinates on OSM it's clear that the cache is ten or so meters from the border on the Rheinland Pfalz-side. (Link to OSM: https://osm.org/go/0DTrti9XY?m=)

Since the cache is not placed in Saarland it can't be the most extreme point for Saarland.

How to mark failed FTF so they don't show up in forgotten FTF

It would be helpful if there was a keyword or something we could add to logs that were *not* FTFs so they wouldn't show up in the forgotten FTF tool. We have sometimes used STF but that would be pretty language dependent. Perhaps a dedicated (*notFTF*) or something like that would be better.

If there's already a way to do this that would be great to know. We have quite a lot of FTF races we lost :)

I'd say the easiest way currently would be to have a statistics-checker made. I couldn't find a script that can exclude attributes easily tho and I don't really have the time at the moment to fix this for you. Remind me in like two weeks if nobody have gotten it done before that!

The Hidden Date tool will only look for caches for hidden calendar dates you have no finds for.

I think that the best way to do what you want would probably be to use the map compare tool with hidden calendar day filter (though that one is for paying members of Project-GC only AFAIK).

When I zoom inside a map on my phone it zooms just the map. If I zoom outside the map it zooms the entire page. This seems like just like what you want. Thus this appears to be a problem with your phone or browser, not with the site. I'm using an iphone with Safari.

It turns out that one can draw a line around the caches of interest, and export those to a Virtual GPS. It would still be nice to have a list, but the drawn polygon gives at least a two step solution without opening another search query.

Mystery cache symbols in GPS

Hello,

I recently discovered that when I create a GPX in Virtual GPS, transfer it to the GPS (Garmin H1), the symbols on mystery caches are changed from a standard question mark to a treasure chest in the GPS. All other symbols are the real standard symbols. I can't find them specifically in any list either, but they still work as a cache in some way in the map itself. Tried with and without choosing to correct the coordinates. Same result. Very strange.

However, if I download an individual mystery cache from GC.com, it becomes a real question mark symbol in the GPS.

This has not been a problem before and I have not updated the firmware in the GPS. Something seems to have happened in the GPX manufacturing here at PGC or what could it be? Anyone else having the same problem?

*Update*

I downloaded an older built GPX file to see how it worked and in it the symbols are now correctly displayed. This is strong evidence that something has gone wrong recently in the GPX file manufacturing process here.

Logs on my caches

Hi!

As the owner of more than 800 listings and roughly 500 active caches, I often use the search function to look up players and their logs on my caches. I still rely partly on email for this, but unfortunately my inbox is full, so I have to delete logs, and this feature is becoming less and less useful. For example, using the bookmarks for my own caches, I can find out which caches were found by whom, but I can no longer view the logs for them. Would it be possible to consider a feature where I could enter a cacher’s nickname somewhere and get all their logs on my caches?

In closing, I want to thank you for the great work you’re doing. When you see how perfectly project-gc.com works compared to the official Geocaching platform, it’s almost unbelievable.

This was an intentional change, as the previous behaviour didn't really align with how "Share"/link functionality typically works on most websites (e.g. the coord.info/GCcode link on geocache pages).

This feature does not exist.

While I understand that completing your challenge difficulty grid is an appealing goal, I would advise against it. For one, challenge difficulty ratings are recalculated regularly, and can lower if more people are qualifying/finding the cache and can rise if the opposite happens. Challenge caches also lose their difficulty score some time after they are archived.

This is working as intended as the settings under "Appearance and Preferences" are used for what you are seeing on every profile stats you're looking at. So if you're including lab caches you're including lab caches on all profiles and not just your own.

On my profile stats-page I get the warning "Your statistics are not visible to others!" If I expand the settings below and uncheck the checkbox "Completely hide my statistics from others" and click on "Save" nothing happens. When I refresh the page the warning is still shown and the checkbox checked again.
