Paid member stats not refreshed since 29 May

Hi all, I'm a paid member but my stats are stuck at 29 May (or before). The tool on the stats page says "Using data up to 2026-06-09". On a couple of previous days I've also tried clicking the "Regenerate my statistics now" button with no resulting update. I wondered if it's to do with the recent chages to Settings at geocaching.com or if it's a problem at this end? Thank you for your time, elfre :-)

In my personnal note in geocaching, I put some coordinate as a try. When I create a virtual gps table, I find out that those coordonates appear as corrected coordonate but it is not the case. I get pictures but I don't see how I can sent them.

Basic member owners can't verify Challenge checkers with PolyChecker because of Premium caches

I have a challenge cache where you have to find caches in certain map regions. The challenge checker uses the genericPolyChecker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC58381/18168.

I wanted to verify a cacher that logged my cache and saw, that when I use the checker with his name it shows the challenge as not fulfilled. With some cross reference and checking different users I found, that the checker won't show a region as fullfilled, if there only was a premium cache found, as I am only Basic member. I am pretty sure, that worked before.

Since basic members can log premium caches, this seems off and especially as I am the owner of the cache and I wanted to verify a log.

Issues sharing virtual gps with other paid members

I shared my virtual gps with a friend, he got the "conversation" that it was shared with him, but when he goes to view it by clicking on the link it gives him a completely different virtual gps with a different name and I don't have any virtual gps' with that name. He sent me a video showing me this weird issue, I could try to share if that would be helpful. And now I just had another friend tell me the same exact thing happened to her - a mutual friend shared a virutal gps with both of us. I had no issues getting to it and seeing it, but she could not get to it.

A follow up, I just went to a recent "conversation" and clicked on the link, it took me to a completely different virtual gps than the one in the shared "conversation". Tried again with a different "conversation" and it took me to the previous conversation's link. Its like the links do not match up with the conversations? Went to another older "conversation" and it also took me to a completely different virtual gps than the one it should have been tied to.

Let me know how I can help solve this issue.

An additional side note but it may be related, when I'm in virtual gps and I switch to a different virtual gps, the virtual gps up on the bar across the top of the page does not update to the new virtual gps I'm sitting on unless I refresh the page. I'll try to attach a photo, but I think I had issues doing so last time.

Map Compare will only show map, when the amound of caches are below 1500 (Milan Area)

Map-Compare will only show map, when the amound of caches are below 1500, when the amound is above 1500 the map area doesn't show anything (No map, or message).

Edit: This seems to be only in the milan area, due to an unusual cachename

In user profile stats page, https://project-gc.com/Profile/ProfileStats , in the last attributes section, among the negative attributes in the first table row there are attributes for:

Not a long hike ... what is above and greater than 10km , but image HTML title writes <10km
Not a medium hike ... what is less than 10km , but image HTML title writes >10km

But title for the images in the ProfileStats page has angle brackets (signs < and > ) is the opposite logic.

Think the checker for GC5BF5 is ignoring (at least)Virtuals and Earthcaches

I just ran the checker for the Cache Across Utah (Challenge Cache) and it only shows that I have 6 of the 29 counties. But looking at my map, it shows 11 counties completed. It appears the checker is ignoring Earthcaches and Virtual (not sure what else). The cache page descriptions states " ... Visit a cache in each of Utah's 29 counties. Any cache, of any type and size is good, as long as it is physically located within the county boundaries...."

Bug in extremes by area?

When I look into the "extremes by area" and look into the dropdown menu of Germany, I can see 15 of the 16 states. Bavaria/Bayern seems to be missing. I am sure that I have found caches there. Is it a bug?

Hello there!

in English I see "Finds to May 6th for each year", but in Czech there is "Nálezy do %s května pro každý rok" (the number doesn't seem to work?) and in Slovak there are two dots (6.. insted of 6.): "Nálezy do 6.. mája v jednotlivých rokoch".

PS: why are half of the table/graph names in Hungarian and half of them English when if I select Hungarian as language?

PPS (not related to the main report): in the table "Finds by found date", the number one (1) is black while other numbers are white.

Not Found Cache not appearing on the Not Found map...

My new cache, GCBNVJ5, is as yet unlogged. Yet it has not yet appeared on the "Not Found Caches" map. Anyone know why? I'm pretty sure that in the past I could see my unfound caches on that map.

Hi, I have used the 366-day-checker:

for several months without any problems. However a couple of days ago I started getting the same error message whenever I intend to run it.

The script is started, runs for a few seconds and the breaks with Error Caught Exception.

Hope there is a timely fix for this.

On PGC my diamond badge says I have 77 events hosted (and need 13 to go up a level)
At Geocaching.com I have

I have one event in progress (held tomorrow, 28 April) which might allow for one error.

Why is there a 4-5 event discrepancy between PGC and GC? Is there a bug in PGC's event counting?

discrepancy in profile stats and needed found date tool

I appear to have a discrepancy between the profile statistics "Attended events by event date" and the Needed found dates tool. For May 30th, the profile statistics show that I NEED a regular event on that day when I filter for regular events. The Needed found dates tool shows that i DO NOT NEED a regular event on that day. I have manually reviewed a fresh my find PQ from GCHQ using GSAK and I do not have a regular event attended on May 30th.

Map counties shows counties as unfound while I do have founds in that county. How come?

Diekirch shows 0 founds.

But I do actually have found some caches in Diekirch, back in 2023.

And that is not the onliest county in Luxemburg that shows up as unfound, but I actually have found some.

Anybody an idea how come?

On the profile stats page, https://project-gc.com/Statistics/ProfileStats, there is a link stating "Permanent link to this profile." When I click the link, it takes me to https://project-gc.com/ProfileStats/Optimist+on+the+run which returns the error "This profile does not exist."

The URL should not have the + signs in it.

UPDATE: Found Issue: Not currently able to map unfound caches when looking at county maps

The issue was that "exclude unfound" was checked, which meant it wasn't showing any unfound caches. Don't remember checking that, but unchecking it fixed the issue.

No caches are showing up when I go to map unfound caches while looking in the "Map Counties" section. I'm a paid member and logged in.

Hello, I am using Firefox browser (latest version), installed greasemonkey and the Project-GC Userscript. Currently the menu is being displayed under the banner on the Geocaching.com website. Tried this on a different computer with Edge and Tampermonkey and its doing the same. What could be causing this? Is there a fix? I have an image but not sure how to attach it.

Virtual GPS Map issue? Using the selection tool to select caches, it looks like it removes caches but it is not

I'm in the virtual GPS map view. I want to select multiple geocaches to remove from my virtual GPS. I circle the caches with the tool, click remove and it looks like it removes them viewing the map but the cache count on the Virtual GPS stays the same. And when I refresh the map they are still in the virtual GPS map and the Virtual GPS.

I have screen shots, I'm not sure how to atttach them. It rejected me copying/pasting them here.

I can individually click each cache and choose to remove, that is working correctly. Its just the selecting tool that is not working.

360°: sectors displayed differently dependend on zoom factor

I noticed a issue on the 360°-from-home-map if the distance from home increases (tested at ~1000km).

You could see:

the sector is not covering the area of the caches (loaded by clicking the sector)
the same sector is shown on a different area by only using another zoom factor

Red markers are for orientation only and mark the same locations

I was trying to add geocaches to my virtual GPS but it is not working (removing doesn't work either). I click on the cache, hit the virtual GPS button and nothing happens.

I can click on a cache, click on the coordinates which takes me to the live map and then add them. But from county maps, nothing.

I'm using Google Chrome, Version 145.0.7632.75 (Official Build) (64-bit).

I use Project‑GC to track my geocaching stats and check challenge caches, and but some challenges that don’t show as completed when even though I know I met the requirements. Im logged in with my account and I can see other stats fine.

I even tried refreshing the data and waiting a couple of days the FAQ says data can take a while to update, but it still shows “not completed” for challenges I definitely fulfilled. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

I run a fast Kolkata Fatafat (FF) geocaching route tracker on the side and it updates quickly, so I’m wondering if I’m missing a step on Project‑GC or if there’s some trick to force a proper challenge check. Any ideas on what might be going wrong or how to fix it?

Virtual GPS - Delete List button doesn't work in Chrome

I am trying to delete a Virtual GPS list. I click 'Delete' then in asks if I am sure. I click 'Yes' and nothing happens. I have tried it in Chrome and Edge. This used to work, but stopped working a few months ago.

App updates/glitches

With the app/map updates over the past several weeks, I've noticed several glitches. Was hoping they would resolve, but not yet.

1) Lists do not sync properly between the website and the app. Specifically, deleted caches within a list, as well as entire deleted lists themselves continue to show up in the app, and when I manually delete them one by one in the app, I get a message that they've already been deleted...(Yes, I know! That's why I'm confused why they're still showing up!) This happens whether the list was downloaded for offline use or not.

2) When downloading lists for offline use, the prompt "you're using data" comes up, but the "continue" option does not work. You have to exit out of that and try a second time. It consistently works the second time, but not the first.

3) I used to be able to "add all" caches visible on the map to a list (a very useful tool, thank you!) This no longer works unless it's the very first thing you do when you open the app; it's as if this function is disabled after you've looked at any cache.

Can any of these functionalities be fixed? Thank you in advance.

Log written in Greek not showing as words

To fit the theme of the cache, I wrote this log in Greek (using Google Translate). However it's now appearing in my stats as my shortest log, with zero words. I presume this is related to this previous question. Are Greek characters not being recognised?

As of the rewriting of the Stats some effects are showing a strange behaviour on some challenge checkers.

For example: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GCAFDJQ/81866

It runs as good as before, but any icon at the start of a row seems to be min. 4 times the size it was before.

I can provide a screenshot of how the result of that particular checker was before.
Tried on different PCs with different browsers and different sizing of the browsers etc.

Edit : Another example where things are mixed up. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8EY7F/45867 all icons seem normal except for the favorites

Edit 10.02.2026 : just checked the mentioned checkers again. Those with the attributes are fine now. The last added one with the favorite icons is still off.... and the icons behind the checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges//101368 as well

My Project-GC dynamic html not updating on my gc.com profile page

Probably since the solution for this bug two days ago somethings a wee bit fishy for translations. Most phrases are fine translated in different languages (I tried German and Dutch, the two I speak, and had a look at Italian), but some are not, especially headlines. Not everywhere, bur a bit erratic somewhere.

As German is my native language, I'll provide the details for that one:

Funde (Finds):

The header is English, all three lines
Finds by difficulty and by terrain have English headlines, but German Text
Mittlere Schwierigkeit und Terrain pro Jahr has German headlines, but Average instead of Durchschnitt in the column header
Finds by year placed is English, but the column headers are German
Funde nach Entfernung has Distance instead of Entfernung
The title of the matrix is English, the 3 lines underneath as well, but the descriptions at the matrix are German
In the Weg zur 81er Matrix the line underneath is in English
Höchste und niedrigste Erhebung has one German, one English line underneath.
Lot's other stuff alike, I fail to see any pattern

Events:

Titel lines are:
Saenger hat 327 Events besucht,
on 304 distinct dates und in 2 distinct countries
thus two different languages
In the Diverse Statistiken the names per line are in German, the values in English

And so forth. It's a bit weird, it's no problem for me, as I can read English, but perhaps for those not so fluent in English.

ich habe 2 unterschiedliche Angaben zum Stand meiner Multi-Matrix.

Laut Checker fehlen mir noch 2 Wertungen. Nach dem DT-Matrix-Tool angeblich 3. Interessant ist auch das die Zeilen- und Spaltensummen unterschiedlich sind. Ich meine mich zu erinnern, das im D/T-Matrix-Tool schon mal 2 fehlende Wertungen gestanden hatten...

Map Compare with multiple people breaks when changing geocache filters?

I'm trying to do a map compare with 4 other people. I set up the top with the other geocacher names. Then I go to add the criteria (counties, types, sizes) and after I hit submit it has reset the people I'm comparing to and only keeps the first person added. I have to go back in and add the additional people again to get the compare to work as needed.

As I'm attempting to do this again to document this for this post, now its not working at all. Even when I don't change the geocaching criteria in the second section and I go add the geocachers back and hit submit, its removing everyone but the first person I added

What is going on with the stats? I can't see my badges and my souvenirs.

Somehow my founds from yesterday haven't mad it in my stats, though I'm a paying member, and the folders for maps, challenges, badges, souvenirs and Lab-Caches are not shown at all, I just see my normal stats in that folder.

It's happening on my computer here (Win11/Edge) as well as on my Fairphone (Android 15/DuckDuckGo), so it's probably not something with my setup here.

Im Listing von GCABDQ5 wird durch das Project-GC Add-on der Challengechecker 79391 auch aufgeführt. Dieser gehört da aber nicht hin. Warum ist das so?
In der Liste mit den nicht erfüllten Challenges ist dieser zweite, falsche Checker auch aufgelistet.

I use the iOS app „cache notifier“ which works quite nice. Now I am on holiday and I get notifications from home.

It seems like PGC inserts my home coordinates. cache notifier shows the correct coordinates. If I the. turn off cache notifier and turn it on again, PGC shows the correct coordinates.

My founds in Colombia are not registered in Project-GC

In 2020 I was in Cartagena in Colombia and found three caches, two Traditionals and one EarthCache. But they are all not shown or registrated here, but on the HP of G$.

Don' know if this can by called a "bug", but on the Map Counties page below the map is the list of them; and the columns are labeled as regions. In Czech version this is labled "kraje" (regions) not "okresy" (counties) and the same is in English so i guess that it is not translation error but something different (?). Know this is minor problem but ...

A CCE from Oct 8 appears on my "found event grid" but similar from 5 Dec is blank

Lately, when I click on the link on a cache page (on my iPhone), it always asks for authentication. After I go through all the steps to reauthenticate, it gives me a blank screen with a tiny font saying Invalid state. This didn't used to happen.

MapCompare no longer working when comparing with myself

As the live map does not have any VGPS controls, where I can select a polygon area and add all the caches in the area to the VGPS, I used the "workaround" to do a map compare with myself, this way I could use the VGPS tools.

This no longer works - the following error messages come up:
Biesmugga’s privacy settings forbid this.
The player-'Compare profile name' and geocache-'Show' filters are required.

Comparing myself with myself should work, and it should also work with my friends, even if my profile is not publicly open, but open to my friends.

Why to open GC profile to public, to show my private data within PGC?

Any idea how this is possible
