In the last few days I have found 2 attributes that I didn't already have. While stats have updated, the attributes have not. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks!

Cactus attribute

I was curious as to why the old "Cactus" attribute does not appear on the list of attributes under "My Profile Stats." That's one that you can still acquire if you're willing to travel to Wisconsin, USA so it ought to be in that list. Now, if the answer is "that attribute is old and deprecated" I note that "Lost and Found" is still on the list, but that's not one that a new cacher can acquire as no active cache has it. So that doesn't seem to be consistent to me. Just curious...

How can I see a map of my unfound caches to which I can apply a custom filter for various attributes?

Yes, there exists a "Cacti" attribute. It is pretty rare, only a few caches had it and only one active (most probably) still has it: https://coord.info/GC684

Similarily to the L&F attribute it could be the base for a badge addon in badgegen.

Is there any Checker for Attributes per 365?

I know this checker (Project-GC - Challenge checkers) for attributes per 81-D/T-Matrix and I wonder if it is possible to run it for the calender matrix as well??
Like this one for different cachetypes?

So, having a checker to look for each individual attribut per each calender day would be helpful.

I would like to be able to use the Hide Stats Top hidden with an attribute filter. I think it would be tricky to apply more than one attribute, but one would do very nicely

Why is the "Attribute Cacher" counter off by 2?

Recently, we've tried to reach the Diamond badge in "Attribute Cacher".

It said that we are missing one attribute to get there. Last weekend, we logged a "partnership cache" which should have filled the missing gap but we are still stuck at the Emerald badge.

That's when I noticed that the attribute count in the badge (in our case 107) is not the same as the one on the "finds"-page (in our case 68 positive + 41 negative attributes = 109).

Is there something I'm missing or is the counter really off by 2?

I was trying to find nightcaches with a good Wilson score using:

But you can't filter on attributes to only get flashlight required for example.

Is there another way to find that information or would a feature request for a attribute filter be the way to go?

Feature request: Attributes as filter in New cache notifiers

I think an option to set up New cache notifiers with attributes as filters would be a nice addition. If it is possible to add of course.

Some examples of the uses I can see for this would be:

Setting up notifiers for your local area with caches with the "field puzzle" attribute as instant notifiers and having a "all mystery caches" as a daily digest.

Setting up a daily digest for challenge caches for a region or country even if you don't want notifications about every mystery cache for the same area.

Daily digest of all caches in a country/region with for example the attribute "abandoned structure" (or maybe "scuba gear required", "abandoned mine", "climbing gear required" or whatever your preferred type of adventure is) to see if anything interesting pops up for your next road trip.

And so on, I'm sure there are many ways to use this. :)

Maybe a "not allowed" option would also be useful? Here I'm mainly thinking about solving the problem where I know some people become frustrated with power trails maxing out the 30 day limit of their notifications, so I'm thinking a user in a powertrail rich area could add a "not allowed" to the power trail attribute for all their notifications and would get their normal notifications for all caches that does not have the power trail attribute and no notifications for caches with the power trail attribute. But it could of course also be used for things like "T5 caches without the attribute boat required" and other things.

Today Groundspeak released 4 new attributes. See https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/09/four-new-geocaching-attributes/.

Of course this means changes to challenge checkers to cope with new attributes. And I hope everyone will update their caches pages to suit (I already have updated mine).

Solution checker:
The cache page has a solution checker. This more of an attribute of the cache page than an attribute of the cache itself. It could have been automatically applied on existing caches but has not (yet?). Applied automatically on new puzzle/unknown cache types that have a Solution Checker

Challenge Cache:
This is a compromise from earlier requests to make challenge caches their own type, but as I see caches still being published with "challenge" in their title that are not challenge caches, I wonder if this attribute will get correctly applied by cache owners. It has not (yet) been automatically applied to PGC's list of challenge caches. Only available on a puzzle (unknown) cache type.

Bonus cache:
Cache is a bonus cache. Only available on a Puzzle (unknown) cache type.

Power Trail:
Cache is part of a power trail

Positive Attributes: New ones were added will there be more?

My stats this morning show 50 possible negative attributes, not the 41 there were before.

New seems to show Dangerous area, Flashlight required, Lost and Found, GeoTour, Swiming, Wading, Partnership, Thorns and Ticks.

Hi,

currently my stats are as follows:

Positive Attribute: 63 von 66 gesammelt (95.5%)
Negative Attribute: 41 von 41 gesammelt (100.0%)

but the badge states 4 are missing:

The Attribute Cacher (Diamant)
	50	70	80	85	90	95	100	103	202	4 (3%)

Am I wrong or this is a bug in badge calculation?

Regarding "The Attribute Cacher" statistics I think there is a bug in counting the achieved attributes, depending on whether the user is a premium member or not (BadgeGen v4 (BETA)). So in case the user has achieved all possible attributes but 4 (GeoTour, Lost and Found, Partnership, Scuba gear) this counts as 102 attributes achieved for a non premium member and as 103 for a premium member. Please not that they both collected the "Needs Maintenance" attribute.

The list of attributes is missing "is part of a GeoTour" attribute. (see GC5DGKY, for an example)

Is there an easier way (filter) to search by attribute, rather than making a pocket query?

Many times I like to search on attributes? f.e. "boat", but the only way I know on how to this is by making a PQ. And that's not a handy filter option. I've found a certain site where there"s a direct 'nightcache' filter, so thats a solution for that attribute.

How to use custom filters

I am very new to Project-GC so please forgive my total ignorance at this point. I am trying to grasp and use some of the power that seems built into this service. I built a custom filter in order to find caches with a specific attribute. I believe it is set up correctly, but now what? How/where exactly do I USE the filter to simply see a list which the attributes selected? I go to the live map screen, but do not see a way to apply the filter there. I do see how to use them in some of the specific searches, but those tend to not be general enough searches. is there a way to simply filter a map to see all of a certain type of cache in my local area?

Why is it a difference between my Profile statistics and a filter I've built? It has to do with Attributes.s.

When I look in statistics of my profile it says I have taken 173 caches with the Attribute Fuel nearby. I've made my own filter for just that, Challenge incoming, but then I got the number 120. Why the difference? Checked some other Attributes too, like Food nearby, my filter always give a lower number. No restrictions in the filter on anything.

Custom filters allow attributes of a cache, either positive, negative or missing to be used as a filter, but only seem to work as an AND operation, can this be extended to be able to search with an OR operation, e.g. Swimming OR wading OR boat required, to give all water caches rather than just ones with all three attributes?

Database of Cache elevation - what Database is being used?

I would like to know from where Project GC knows at which elevation a cache is. For example: If you were to place a Cache in an old mine, the hight shown would probably be the hight of the ground above and not the hight of the actual Cache. Is there a way to state at which hight a certain Cache actually is?

Could someone please create a checker for GC4WPKG ?

What it needs to check is that the geocacher has found five geocaches with the following three attributes on all of them:

Teamwork required
Dangerous area
Climbing gear

A config option to exclude the cache code GC4WPKG itself would be nice (if other things gets configurable).

The output could as I understand it be the gccodes only, but maybe adding the cache names gives a nice touch to it.

I have been searching for a checker to add up ATTRIBUTES that equal or more than 2,415 KM, using the three attributes and counting them to equal it or more, which means adding up X number of certain attributes and then equals Y number of KM.

I have tried all the variations of the attributes Need some help from anyone. :)

I am often looking for night caches in certain areas. Sadly there is no possiblity to filter the cache statistics (e.g. favorite caches) for that. It would be quite useful for several occassions if the lists can be filtered by cache attributes.

This would allow getting cache lists specific for various needs (assuming the cache owner set the correct attributes):
- Night caches
- Swim/Diving caches
- Park and Grab caches
- Tourist friendly caches
- and much more depending on the users needs

"Add Garmin improvements" doesn't add attributes or FP to PQ

I made a PQ from my virtual GPS and klicked the "Add Garmin improvements" checkbox. When I open the logs in my gps (oregon 450), there is a fake log but it doesn't contain any attributes, and all caches say

"Favorite Points: (0%)"

I checked the gpx-file (in a text editor) and it doesn't contain the attributes info, so it's not just my gps who is unable to show them, they are just not there.

Where is the Logged Attributes page?
