Why has NZL 3 regions and not anymore 2 as it was before?

When I visited NZ in 2018 I had a lot of founds in the southern and in the northern island. As I also visited all regions in NZ - like Otago, Nelson, Gisborne or Taranaki, I reached a coverage of 100% for the North Island, 100% for the South Island, and because NZ was divided into these 2 territories I also reached a coverage of 100% for NZ as the whole country.

Some months later - I cannot remember exactly when that happened - I found out that there was a change and a third territory, called Chatham Islands, had been introduced into the NZ territory. I had not been there and therefore my coverage for NZ changed to 66%, as one third was missing.

When I looked more precisely onto Chatham Islands I found out that there were only very little caches and not many geocachers ever visited this small island. So I think it is not correct to give this small island the status of one third of New Zealand.

My question now:

- Who was responsible for this change in territory division?

- Why did that happen? Is there anybody to give so much attention to such a little island?

- And last question: Why???

Any answers are welcome, best would be to get in contact with the person responsible for the territory division (especially in NZL).

Hallo,

ich habe 2 unterschiedliche Angaben zum Stand meiner Multi-Matrix.

Laut Checker fehlen mir noch 2 Wertungen. Nach dem DT-Matrix-Tool angeblich 3. Interessant ist auch das die Zeilen- und Spaltensummen unterschiedlich sind. Ich meine mich zu erinnern, das im D/T-Matrix-Tool schon mal 2 fehlende Wertungen gestanden hatten...

Where to add different home locations?

Previously, I used the GCStatistic tool which offered the possiblity to add different home locations with time periods applied to them. Thus, every kind of statics depending on your home location was calculated correctly (distances, angles, ...) and that even in case that you have beein moved to another place.

I could not find any such useful feature here. Would not be that difficult to implement?

Edit (2023-01-16): There is your personal settings page on project-gc where you can maintain also other stuff. Why not offer the possibility for custom homecoordinates with dates there? As long as you are not providing anything there, just take the ones from GC.

Log length histogram

Currently I'm interested in the number of words in my logs. In the Profile Stats you get the values for longest, shortest and average log length.

A nice tool is the challenge checker "Log length by cache (Not a checker) (by Target.)"

With the data from this checker saved as CSV (by copy and paste from the results page) I generated a histogram of my log length (frequency vs. number of words).

Wouldn't this be a nice idea to be included in the Profile Stats? What do you think?

Challenge Checker that checks how many Found It logs have a certain word/character length?

Does it exist? I would like something that checks if the user has written X number (5, 10, etc) of Found It logs that have more than Y words (300, 500, etc).

A curious observation regarding Stat generation

I am a fully paid up member of PGC, which means that my Stats get updated on a daily basis.

I also have my PGC stats published on my profile page on my Groundspeak account.

The strange thing is that if I look at my PGC generated stats through my Groundspeak profile then it is completely up to date, more so than the same Stat page on PGC.

I will see if I can add screen shots to illustrate from my phone (not easy for me), but has anyone else noticed this phenomena?

Cache Type by Area Stat

It would be nice to be able to see how many of each cache type there is in an area. This could be represented as a histogram. Instead of the Caches per Area being broken down by the different sub areas, the histogram would show cache types.

Traditionals,

Mystery

Multi

Virtual

The information is currently available if someone does the work and makes several filtered caches per area requests. It seems nice to know what percentage of the caches are Traditionals versus Unknown. Also it would be nice to be able to compare regions. Does Germany have a different distribution of caches than Michigan?

Finds per Area also seems a candidate for this extension.

Is there a way to have the "Hides" stats include a custom additional list of caches - in my case, I'm interested in adding caches that I hid on behalf of a local nature center account, and also caches that I have adopted out to other cachers as I'm leaving my home state where I started caching. Thanks!

Is there a way to get a list of all the GC codes of all my finds out from Project-GC?

GSAK/MyFinds.gpx and Project-GC shows different counts that isn't explained by my 5 found LAB caches.

Add Last Generated to the Profile Stats page

Feature Request: Add a "Last Generated: %timestamp%" to the bottom of the profile stats page so we can make an educated guess as to when it will next be generated.

Cache Distances Way Off In Stats Today

Today my stats show that my furthest cache found is 2,242,695.14 miles (3,609,259 km) away! This cache (GC57ZJR) is actually only 1731 miles away and is not the furthest cache found which for me is in Argentina (5124 miles away) and was listed as such yesterday.

Also my closest cache found is not correct anymore. My home coords in settings haven't changed so it seems to be a bug elsewhere? Anyone else seeing this?
