Hallo,

ich habe 2 unterschiedliche Angaben zum Stand meiner Multi-Matrix.

Laut Checker fehlen mir noch 2 Wertungen. Nach dem DT-Matrix-Tool angeblich 3. Interessant ist auch das die Zeilen- und Spaltensummen unterschiedlich sind. Ich meine mich zu erinnern, das im D/T-Matrix-Tool schon mal 2 fehlende Wertungen gestanden hatten...

Hi, my specific issue was discussed back in 2023 at Map of Challenge Checkers hanging in some cases when requesting all of United States - PGC freezes when asking for a maps of challenge caches from the entire U.S. The only way to get the entire U.S. is to do 51 separate state-by-state searches. A couple of us discussed possible solutions, including:

Activate the multi-state selection capability on the map page, to allow me to click on more than one state at a time. If I am traveling to one part of a country, I would like to be able to do one search covering multiple states (rather than 10 or 20 separate searches). If one can create multi-state maps, anyone can can keep all searches under the current server capacity limits.

While this capability is a critical need in the U.S., it would also be very valuable for any cacher traveling through their own country or to other countries. [For the US, a very inelegant and single-country stop-gap measure would be to create a somewhat arbitrary country of "United States (Western States)" and "United States (Eastern States)" to essentially divide the US into two pieces.]

Would love to get a sense of whether others would value the multi-state capability. Thanks, bejs

Feature request: can there be an option on the challenge map to exclude the challenges you already found?

On the challenge map, you can filter by different options, like not available, archived, premium, requirements met / not met. But it would be nice to have an extra filter, to exclude the challenges you already have found and/or the ones you have visited (by write note log). It will make the map more readable.

Tools/Map of challenge caches doesn't seem to work properly

When I select Country & Region, Exclude Archived & Not fullfilled, and Show all, I used to get a map showing all the challenges I fullfilled. Now it seems as if only those with a personal cache note show up on the map which means that I miss information about quite a few.

Suggestion: Add "Found" to this list. That will allow me to remove a lot of clutter on this map.

Is it possible to add all challenge caches in "Map of challenge caches" results map to a VirtualGPS list and/or get a GC code listing of the caches on the map? I couldn't find a way to do it and asked some of my friends and they couldn't find it either, so we assume it doesn't exist. Clicking every challenge on e.g. map of challenge caches in Denmark (522 caches at the moment) and adding them to a VirtualGPS list manually takes lots of time and is extremely frustrating.

I'm trying to get a list of all challenge caches in my state. I went to the map of challenge caches, used the GPS icon to circle all the caches, used the GPS icon again to turn on the little GPS symbol on each cache. This much works and I think this is supposed to add them to the VGPS. But when I click on the Virtual GPS icon at the top of the page, I get a blank grid. What am I doing wrong?

Cache Mis Listed as challenge?

https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3T0X0_directionally-challenged is showing up in the challenge checker maps as a challenge cache. While name does contain the word challenge it is not as a stand alone word. This could be considered a bug.

Is this a reasonable interpretation?

Challenge Checkers: removal of non challenges

There are a lot of caches listed on the challenge checker map that are not challenges as such, they just have the word challenge in the cache name. I see no way of automating their removal, but could someone not remove them manually? A map of challenge caches should be exactly that.

Bug: Tool tips missing

I was exploring my country, looking for challenges that still need checkers, ie working on the map of challenge checkers, And I noticed the VGPS controls do not have tool tips. The other controls do have tool tips. Some of the VGPS controls I can guess - add or remove from VGPS. What? The whole screen full? One tool I have no idea what it does. Tool tips would be useful. The VGPS controls appear on a number of maps, of course.

And, as always, PLEASE!!!! A MAP LEGEND!!!! This website hasd to cater to newcomers here, not just peole who have been using PGC for years. A graphic at the bottom of the map explaing all the sub-icons on the caches.

Error in map of challenge caches

When looking up the Map of challenge caches, and excluding Fulfilled challenges (so selecting "Fulfilled"), all challenge icons that have a checker show the red sign signifying I don't meet the challenge requirements. And that includes challenge icons for which I DO meet the challenge requirements.

When I deselect "Fulfilled", all shows good again. So I suppose this is a program bug attached to the "Exclude Fulfilled" check box?

As background on what I selected:
Location: Netherlands
Difficulty / Terrain: nothing selected
Cache name contains: nothing
Exdlude: Disabled, Archived, Fulfilled. Only the last one messes things up.
Show: Show all

The non-Lua checkers are not filtered on the map of challenges

When I use the challenge map and exclude not fulfilled challenges I still see for example 360 degrees of Skåne and the other 'special' checkers.

Is this done on purpose as they are not the usual Lua-type checkers or is this a bug?
