I would like a "Map Countries" feature

I really like the existing tools "Map Regions" and "Map Counties" in the tools menu. But I would much more love to use a "Map Countries" tool where I can explore which Countries in the world or on a continent I already cached in and which are still waiting to be visited.

I know there is a text-lists of all the used countries in the FAQ area at https://project-gc.com/Home/FAQ#3743016681 but It's not very pleasant to keep comparing lists of plain texts: I like to see the results in a map, zoom in on the map to small Counties, use filters for different cache types or terrain ratings and so on! I like to watch the red/green-marked map to find exclaves, identify small islands next to other countries or streets with border crossings for an easy visit when I am traveling. I also like to see a list under the continent-map where I can see how many caches I have logged in which country - and to which small ones I should zoom in on the map because they have still 0 logs.

All that is working for Regions and Counties and I would like it also for Countries. Please consider implementing this feature.

List of countries in each continent?

Is there a list anywhere to see which countries are counting for each continent in PGC? I'm wondering as my stats say "45/53 countries found in Europe", but I could only think of six more countries I still need to visit. I already figured out I need to get to Greenland as well (does Greenland count towards Europe on gc.com?), but then there'd still be one more missing and I can't quite figure out which one...

In the "Map" tools, filter by Continent?

In all the "Map X" tools eg Map Hidden Month, can we have a filter for Continent, ie Europe, Africa, Asia, America (N&S), Middle East ?

This is particularly useful as I can see where I need to go in Europe, to find the elusive hidden month or DT I need which might be a short plane journey away.

I know it benefits Europe more than anywhere else in the world, but I think everyone could get use out of it. I often filter by the whole world and remove some of the bigger countries (eg America and Australia, New Zealand) but its still messy. If I could just see European countries, it'd be awesome :)

They could even be listed at the top of the country selection field when it is set to multiple filtering or something if you wanted to keep it simple.

How does continents display on profile stats?

Hi!

I checked the maps-tab of my profile stats and was happy to see that Asia has been added as a separate map. I have found caches in three countries in Asia, so that would make sense, but why is North America and South America not displayed? I have 3 and 4 countries there.

Can these maps be added? Preferably one of them would include Central America as well.

I have a new checker that allows you to check for various combinations of number of countries, number of regions, number of regions in a certain set of countries etc.

I've also added continent definitions (there are a few iffy ones: Russia, Turkey), so you can check for number of continents found.

Check it out, and let me know if you need some updates to work with a specific challenge. I'll probably add counties at some point if necessary.
