Hello,

I would like to know how many geocahers in Germany have found seven different cache types in seven different countries. Can anyone help me find out or tell me how to filter to see the result?
Comparison of countries in one day vs cachers from a region rather than worldwide?

A hard subject to search on. I’d like to be able to compare the number of countries visited in 24 hours for a region. As worldwide it wouldn’t be fair perhaps but in Europe we can visit quite a few in 24 hours. So I’d like to see a table of say all the people from the UK and how many countries they’ve visited in one calendar day.

this is done on my own stats so checkers probably exist but I really want the comparison table like you’d get for dt loops or most dt combinations in one day etc.

If it already exists please tell me how to do it. Thanks again.

I would like a "Map Countries" feature

I really like the existing tools "Map Regions" and "Map Counties" in the tools menu. But I would much more love to use a "Map Countries" tool where I can explore which Countries in the world or on a continent I already cached in and which are still waiting to be visited.

I know there is a text-lists of all the used countries in the FAQ area at https://project-gc.com/Home/FAQ#3743016681 but It's not very pleasant to keep comparing lists of plain texts: I like to see the results in a map, zoom in on the map to small Counties, use filters for different cache types or terrain ratings and so on! I like to watch the red/green-marked map to find exclaves, identify small islands next to other countries or streets with border crossings for an easy visit when I am traveling. I also like to see a list under the continent-map where I can see how many caches I have logged in which country - and to which small ones I should zoom in on the map because they have still 0 logs.

All that is working for Regions and Counties and I would like it also for Countries. Please consider implementing this feature.

Is there a chance to get certain locations into or out of when determining the percentage of visited parts of a country?

Or is this a thing where only the GC headquarter decides on?

In my observation I visited 100% of New Zealand when I was there in 2018. 2 years later I had to find out that I only had 2/3 of this country as there was unexpected some islands to be needed to visit and find there a cache. These islands are so small that they contain less than 1 per mille of the area of New Zealand. Why should it be necessary to go there to get 100% of NZ?

MapRegions for Countries

Would it be possible to extend the MapRegions / MapCounties tools to also have a MapCountries (with input of the continents, as can be selected for e.g. the MapCompare tool already)?

I'm aware that it's possible to use MapCompare to see caches in all countries of a continent obviously, but that lacks the red/green country areas and usually yields far too many caches to be useful. If I could see unfound countries and just click on those to see possible caches, and define filters also, it would be most helpful.

What country am I assigned to?

Hi,

When I look at my profile stats (pantadeusz), the first country that shows up is Ireland. I have previously lived in Ireland and it used to be the country where I have the most finds, but that has not been the case for a while. I am wondering by which metric is the first country displayed in a person's stats decided?

Thanks

Most countries in a day

For the "Most countries in a day" statistic on the Project-GC profile, can anyone help me out on a few details involving time zones and what actually might constitute the "same day"?

I'm planning to leave Rome (UCT+1) early morning and bag both Italy and Vatican City around 8AM before leaving. Flight connections in Germany and USA before arriving home in Cayman Islands on the same day around 9:30PM (UTC-5). So, according to local time, each cache will be logged on the same day.

There will be a total time difference between first and last cache of approx 20hrs given the six hour time difference but I wondered if for some reason that would fall into two separate dates if the stats are based on UTC equivalents?

Any thoughts?

I'm not likely to change the travel plans, it's enough effort to do the trip in itself, but if I can get 5 countries in a day, that's a nice little earner too. I guess I'll find out when I'm back and all logs are in anyway.

Sub-groups for countries

Would it be possible to allow users to define sub-groups for countries, to have a finer granulation or to tell certain regions apart? What I have in mind, for example, is to take the total find count for Italy and then define two subsets 'Italian islands' and 'Italian mainland' - the latter one would be empty for me, in this case. It would be ok to do the split manually but of course, if data allows, one could also think about a filter criterion (per county, per height, per latitude,...) Would this be reasonable?

Top Number of Countries search returns Unknown Error

While using https://project-gc.com/Statistics/TopNumCountries I experience an error message (after a while of waiting) "Unknown Error".
It does not happen in all cases, e.g. if I limit the search to cachers from "Germany" it returns a result, but limiting to cachers from "USA" or even without any filter it returns this unknown error.

List of countries in each continent?

Is there a list anywhere to see which countries are counting for each continent in PGC? I'm wondering as my stats say "45/53 countries found in Europe", but I could only think of six more countries I still need to visit. I already figured out I need to get to Greenland as well (does Greenland count towards Europe on gc.com?), but then there'd still be one more missing and I can't quite figure out which one...

English counties do not make any sense. Will these be changed to accurately reflect the definition of a county?

The "counties" used by project GC in England bear no relationship to counties used by any group, including government. Torbay, for example is a unitary authority and part of the county of Devon. The same is true for The City of Leicester - a part of the county of Leicestershire and not a county in its own right. Other unitary authories, West Berkshire and The City of York, for example, are correctly shown as parts of their respective counties and not split out. Can someone please explain the reason for chosing the list of counties as shown. Also, is anyone aware of plans to either go with ceremonial counties (which most will prefer and which would match groundspeak, GSAK and most related challenge caches) or wholly with unitary authorities (which very few people use)

Checker request for GC3570E - 10 types in 1 day in 3 countries

	http://coord.info/GC3570E

	Challenge Requirements

To be allowed to log this cache you must have logged at least 10 different cache types during the same day. Furthermore you must have done this three times (not necessarily on the same day) and in different countries each time. I.e. you need to have logged 30 caches to fulfill this requirement. However, lab caches do not count since you can not prove which day they were logged.

You should specify in your log on which dates you logged at least 10 different cache types during the same day in three different countries. You should also state the cache names, GC code and type for each and everyone of the caches.

	***********

If someone can create a challenge checker for this challenge cache it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
