Will hosting a CITO also count as an event for Leap Year

I was wondering if hosting a CITO on Feb 29 (leap year) will also count as hosting an event for the "Statistics: Leap Day Badgegen Addons (by Hügh) <a href="https://project-gc.com/Challenges/80820"" rel="nofollow">https://project-gc.com/Challenges/80820" challenge checker? I need both and if one will satisfy the other then it will make it easier.

Thanks

Terrible Ts

Way to filter out past events

Would it be possible to add a filter for removing past events from maps?

Unfortunately, most event hosts are not disabling their events after the day.

If there is a way to express this in custom filters, I haven't found it. There is no option to filter by date here.

Also when I try to add multiple cache types to a statement, it doesn't seem to actually do anything (the Type has a multiselect list).
The Statement Line shows

Basic: Types

But none of the cachetypes remain selected after adding and saving.

Adding each cachetype as an individual entry seems to work.

Filtering just by the placed date in the future doesn't work as non event caches will not be shown.

360 from home not counting events?

Hi team, is the 360 from home checker not counting events? As they don't show up in the tool. And the Wiki page doesn't mention which cache types are counted and which are not counted . . .

cache owner badge not including events?

Hi Team,

I see that the amount mentioned at the cache owner badge is much lower now than it used to be on the old version of BadgeGen. From looking at the details, I gather that events I organised are no longer included as caches I own. Is there a plan to add the events again?

And on top of that, are lab caches that I created (going to be) included? I can't see that from the details yet.

Thank you!

In event statistics. Add heat map of the regions that attendees are from.

In the "event statistics"

Lookup home area of each attendee anonymously. Then report in a heat map the event attendees home location. Will be nice to see attendance of Mega and Giga events.

Logging event rules change ?

Hello all

i was a little far from geocaching last weeks but i've got a strange issue on GC today : i want to log an event and it's impossible. The logging page just propose to write a note.

I've done a "will attend" few weeks ago, as usual, and now, the event page is like i've attended (the event was this morning).

I'm not able to find any info on that on GC blog or forum but i wonder if it's the same for everybody ?

How do you prefer your geocaching events?

I'm a big fan of geocaching events, both when it comes to visiting them and arranging them. I'd like to know what others find to be most important for a good event.

Meeting other geocachers is a staple of events, obviously. Is that the main drawing point for you? If so, do you prefer to talk to your old caching friends or the new cachers that you haven't met before?

Is it important that there are new geocaches published in association with an event, or is that even a bad thing?

Many events involve food in some way: lunch events, coffee gettogethers, dinner gatherings, picknicks, etc. Is this a good thing or just a complication for those who want to eat at home and just meet people?

Some events are created to let people try something new (rock climbing, ice skating, juggling, etc). Is this a draw or a drag?

Is it important to place the event at a beautiful site (perhaps far into the woods) or is it more important that the site is easy to get to and accessible for all (public transport, paved paths, etc)?

Does the size of the event affect if you want to attend or not? Is less more, or bigger better?

What would make you definitely go to a particular event? What you make you definitely not go to a particular event?

These are just some ideas to get you going on what makes a good event for you. I'm interested in any comments, whether they are directly related to these questions or to something completely different.

Request: Event Reminder Emails

Would love to get reminder emails for upcoming events I marked a will attend.

Since some events can be posted months in advance(and due to new event notifications I mark will attend right away, and have forgotten) a reminder email 2-5 days prior to the event would be sent on event caches you have marked a will attend. (this feature could be turned on or off)

After missing an event a couple weekends ago I realized there is no good way to see upcoming events besides looking at your will attend logs on GC. And it wasn't until afterwards and talking with a fellow cacher that I realized the event took place a couple days prior. I was free and at home and missed out on socializing with fellow cachers
eventstatistics reserve list

It is quit common for events to have an certain maximum amount of members(geocachers) that can actually attend a event (due to space or restrictions for example)

Is there a option to introduce a "reserve list" when the maximum amount of attendees is reached the next will attand loggers will be placed on that list. When an other attendee changes the will attend to a write note the first "reserve" logger can move to the normal list.

Split finders / attendees by Country / Region

I was just asked about interesting statistics, that I think is still missing on Project GC.

Input: Geocache code (or even bookmark list of multiple caches?)

 Variable: Type of log

Output: % split of logs by country (home country of person who logged Found it / Didn't Found / Attended / Will Attend)

I think this can be very useful particulary for MEGA event organization team for planning and analysis.

Second reason - it can help cache owners to analyze Didn't Found logs, i.e. if they come from foreigners, something can be wrong with cache translation

	* this statistics can be done today in steps (apply filter for individual countries one by one, and only partially - for Found and Attended logs)
