Web Browser Extension Will Not Authenticate

I am running the latest version of Safari. I use Tampermonkey to run the web browser extension. It wasn't until recently that Tampermonkey would load the Project GC script. It was fixed.

Now, I cannot get the web extension to authenticate. It reads, "Not Logged In" at the top of the Geocaching page. If I click the link, I go to a page that tells me to authenticate. I click the Authenticate button and am taken to another page on Geocaching with a button to Agree to the authorization. Then the page goes to Project GC. But I am never logged in to the web extension. It continues to read, "Not Logged In". And I am not logged in.

I did try removing authorization for Project GC on the Geocaching web site. I have run the script on other devices.

Is this a Geocaching issue? Project GC issue? Tampermonkey issue? Any help would be appreciated.

Bug in the Web browser extension

I noticed I can't access the settings on the browser script as I used to anymore, the arrow is hidden and when I click the place it's supposed to be the menu shows up but the whole page instantly reloads so I can't edit the settings.

It seem to work as it should when at geocaching.com/play/search but I can't seem to change the settings when I'm on any other page. Tested in Firefox, Chrome and Brave, same problem across all three browsers. A guess is that it might be related to the banner since HQ redid it recently?

Not a huge problem, but annoying enough to report it here. :)

With the chrome extension, why are state/province/region names always shown in strikethrough?

Since I installed the PGC extension for Chrome, every cache page displays the state/province/parish/region in strikethrough, like this:

In Arizona, United States
United States / Arizona / Maricopa

The underlying link still seems to work fine. But is there some significance to the strikethrough that I'm not grasping?

Which website extension is recommended for Firefox - Greasemonkey or Tampermonkey?

https://project-gc.com/Home/UserScript recommends Greasemonkey for Firefox and Tampermonkey for Chrome.

But in the community support some answers to https://project-gc.com/qa/?qa=15852/what-the-status-the-browser-extension-for-firefox-and-beyond say, both extensions work fine.

What is correct?

I use Firefox and I have installed Tampermonkey.

Extension not loading

I helped a friend install the web browser extension today. It was the first time she used Tamper Monkey. We installed that first. Struggled a bit to get the script installed. Finally accomplished that. When on the geocaching site, everything was enabled. Tamper Monkey showed the "1" in the red box indicating the script was being used, yet the extension features never loaded on the cache page, not even the Project-GC drop down at the top. She is a paid member.

She had an pop-up ad blocker. No difference after turning that off and restarting the browser. I suspect there is some kind of security setting or anti-virus program that is causing the issue. Could people suggest very specifically, settings etc. to check to see what is keeping the extension script from loading. Thanks.

What is the status of the browser extension for Firefox 57 and beyond?

Notes from Firefox/Greasemonkey indicate that GM is rewriting its approach for Firefox 57 and beyond. This seems to have resulted in the browser extension currently being disabled (at least on my computer). Is there a short-term fix for this - other than using Chrome? Thanks.

Web Browser Extension Not Loading

I'm no longer seeing the project-gc web browser extension load on gc.com pages, it is turned on in tampermonkey and was working OK at least into the weekend. Using Chrome latest version on Windows, tampermonkey latest version and version 1.8.5 of the browser extension. I tried re-installing the extension but no change. Anyone else not getting it to load?

Tampermonkey Extension - Found logs per country according to Project-GC.com

Hello, Project-gc.com Tampermonkey extension is very useful on cache page. Especially Found logs per country according to Project-GC.com - the country flags with number of cache loggers per country, shown above cache page logbook.

It would be great and useful, if the flag would be clickable - filtering logs from particular country.

Web Browser Extension issue - features broken

Not sure what changed or when but I noticed 2 items not working on the PGC web extension on Chrome. I happen to be running Chrome 53 on a Mac and a Win10 PC if that matters. I'm not familiar with TamperMonkey and scripting in it but did some quick debugging/tweaking to try and resolve the situation.

The 2 items I noticed not working are hiding the disclaimer and collapsing the print/download section. Both issues seemed due to referencing #ctl00_divContentMain . The options work properly when replacing #ctl00_divContentMain with #divContentMain in the 2 respective sections. 1 reference changed for the disclaimer and multiple references changed for the collapsing code.

I also noticed that there's a mixed content (http on https page) messages logged to the browser console for http references to maxcdn.project-gc.com . If I modify the userscript to reference https, it fails because maxcdn doesn't have a maxcdn.project-gc.com SSL cert or *.project-gc.com SSL cert.

Any thoughts on the above? Someone else with Chrome see the same behavior?
