Can we get more favorite statistics?

There was a Facebook Group post about why do you favorite an %earthcache. Well that got me to thinking. Why not have some good favorite point stats? Could we produce things like

favorites per icon

percentage of an icon favorited

favorites per state/county

favorites per D/T

I am sure others could figure out some more favorite points you have given stats that would be fun to know.

Found caches are no longer marked in TopFavorites

While looking for caches with most favorite points in a certain area, I noticed that the bars for the caches I already found are no longer marked by a specific color, but they show with the same color.

My example:
- Search for "Top favorites" with filter Country: Spain, Region: Islas Baleares
- In the result e.g. "LP-Hotel "Es Pas"" and "Cuevas del drach.." (and many more on the list) are already found by me. Those used to have a dedicated color, but are shown in "normal blue".

Filtering out "found caches" however works as expected. The bug is only the missing coloring for found caches as it used to be.

How replace in the map the cache-icon with its number of favorites?

Hi
I would like to draw the geocaching live map, seeing an icon with written the number of favorites of each cache, instead of the usual and generic icon related of the type of the cache.
It's possible to draw such a map?

Thanks

Shorter Forgotten Favorites? (and FTFs) list with marking option

This list is extremely useful to check every now and then but as time goes by it just gets longer and longer. I'd like to see a way to mark current caches on list as checked. So that next time when I'm visiting the page I'd only see caches I've logged after the last time.

This applies also to the Forgotten FTFs? page.

who favors who?

Im not sure if this should be called a bug or not, since it probably is bugrelated but not on PGCs part so I post it in misc. :)

Long story short, at an event one of the people there stumbled upon a mega event with a favourite point! Somebody had a theory that reviewers could leave FPs on events, I think it is related to some sort of bug with an app since I know that in cachly a few versions back you could mark your log as if you wanted to leave a FP when logging an event but then of course the FP didnt show up on the cachepage of the event.

How do PGC plays in here you ask? Well, I was sure we were going to find out who left the FP by using the PGC "Who favors who" on the account that had posted the mega-event. But PGC says the account has no FPs. This leaves me with two questions: Why doesnt PGC show this FP? And how the heck did this event get an FP, lol?

Is it just that the "Who favors who" exlude all events since you cant leave an FP on a event and that would make it less data to check?

If anyone wanna try to solve the mystery with the FP on the event, it is this mega that have the FP: https://coord.info/GC6JZNY You need to go to the COs list of all hidden caches to see that it has a FP.

List logs of a geocache with an icon showing if the user left a favorite point

I would love to watch the logs of geocaches with Icons showing

if the user left a favorite point and

if the user is currently a gc.com premium user.

It is currently possible to see the premium status directly next to the logs on gc.com-cachelistings but if I like to know who gave a favorite point there are only long, unsorted lists (hidden at "View Who Favorited"). Is is possible to implement such better log-lists on project-gc?

Favorite point changes - OPTOUT. Is this an error?

I am unsure whether this is a bug report or not.

I received an email about favorite point changes on two of our caches. It indicated that points were added and subtracted. All four user names contained "OPTOUT" with different numbers. Screen shot linked below. Is this a bug, or did four users who wish to remain hidden coincide tally add and remove FPs on the same day?
Why is on Map of "top favorites (Wilson)" the % in popup the number from "top favorites (%)" and not Wilson?

I do the statistic for "Top favorites (Wilson)", which I think is a top tool.
Then I get the bargraphs. (look at the %numbers)
Then I generate the map for e.g. top 100.

In the map I can klick on a cache and I get the popup. (look at the %number)

BUT.

In the popup I see the "normal" percent of the "Top favorites %" statistic.
I think there should be the number of the wilson statistic.

Do I something the wrong way?

Thank you.

Is there a way to display the caches i marked as favorites?

I want to display the caches i marked as favorites on a map. Does geocaching.com API provide those data? I know that there would be a workaround with a bookmarklist, but it would be less work (for me ;-) )to do, if the data were given by the API.

In the "Statistics > Hide stats" menu, I's love to see a new menu item "Top favorites per cache".

There are some owners who own loads of caches with few favorites, and some who own few caches with loads of favorites (and of course great owners with tons of caches and tons of favorites...).

Ranking those owners with a high favorites percentage would be a great way to reward not only owners who hide lots of caches, but also creative owners, wouldn't it ?

Forgotten Favorites not showing some big faves

I logged some super favorited caches over a week ago. project GC shows them as found, and I have not favorited them yet. However, when I use the "Forgotten Favorites" tool, these caches don't show up. Is there a longer delay for this tool than most? I seem to remember being able to use this tool a day after logging them in the past.

Logs / FP heat map

I propose a Logs / FP heat map.

Wouldn't it be intersting to see a visual representation of the number of logs / FP in a specified area?

Let's define an area by center/radius and then instead of displaying the cache icons draw a coloured circle where the size of the circle corresponds to the number of Logs and the colour to FP the caches have received.

So a big circle means lots of log entries, a blue colour means very little FP, green means medium FP and red colour means lots of FP.

favpoints over time on by area basis

Hi!

I like the "favorite points over time" feature as it makes comparing owners easy.

Now I want to compare "favorite points over time" on a "by area" basis. Is that possible?

Tha'ts what I mean: Add up all favpoints in a specified area and plot it over time.

Have a great Happy New Year 2016!
Does it make sense to calculate the percentage of 'total favorites received' including logs for events?

The profile bar about hidden geocaches shows the total favorites received information with a total number and a percentage value.

From my observation the calculation of that percentage includes logs for attended events. Since we cannot add events to our list of private favorite caches at all, it would make sense to filter those log counts?

Statistics for most founds per day and most favorite points per day

1. Query for most founds per day

To find most popular caches this one is different from "most logged caches" because there is maybe a ten year old cache with 2000 Founds and a two year old cache with 1500 Founds. The later one is far more popular.

2. Query for most favorite points per day?

This query differs from Favorite Points percentage because of the same reason. Or is the age of a cache included in the wilson formula?

Feature request: Map for Top Favourites

I'm approaching a big milestone (well, big for me) and like to celebrate big milestones with a special find.

Could we have a map of caches with top favourites / top favourites (Wilson) please, perhaps showing the top 50 voted caches by region in each country? This would be similar to "what's hot" but showing a fairly static view to enable people to select the caches voted as best over an extended period of time instead of the short term perspective of "what's hot".

This would be a great tool to enable identification of high quality caches and one that I would find really useful.
