search your logs for ones marked 'great story'

It would be really fun to be able to search all your logs to see which ones were marked 'great story' or 'helpful'.

Date of find is wrong. What's wrong?

It's strange: today I checked my last finds that I had found today.

And in statistics the youngest find is from 2020-06-29!

This is the cache: https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8N5W3_ruine-hohenmelchingen?guid=593e23d2-65e5-44f2-8e5c-6136b85ef27e

As you can see the date of "youngest cache" is older than date of creation.

What went wrong?

Thanx a lot for help!

Is there a way to get a list of all the GC codes of all my finds out from Project-GC?

GSAK/MyFinds.gpx and Project-GC shows different counts that isn't explained by my 5 found LAB caches.

Cache Type Specific Finds by Found Date

So with the new badge gen badges there is an add on for finding the cache types on all 366 days of the year (i.e. Traditional every day, multi every day, mystery every day, etc.). Is there a way to get the finds by found date tool to show specific cache types to assist in the earning of these badge add-ons?

How can I list every cache that I’ve found in a specific country?

Is there a way to list every cache that I have found in another specific country? I know that there is a list of total numbers found under the maps but can’t find a way to list all the caches that I’ve found.

I’m particularly interested in finding out how many different cache types that I’ve found. I know there is a challenge cache checker for multiple countries x 8 types but I can’t find a way to list all types or caches in every country once you achieve the challenge.

Thanks in advance

Get rid of 'plus 0 Lab-Cahes' form header in Found tab

I tried the search, there is only one entry with no solution, so I ask here, hope that is ok:

I was thinking ob geplacing my whole handling of stats in GSAK with this, would like to go premium to, but one thing really stops me from it, the Found Header saying:

AlKayDee hat 1113 Funde bei 1113 unterschiedlichen Geocaches,

plus 0 Lab-Caches

I never have, and never will do anything with Lab-Caches, and I really don't like this at a prominent spot, especially because it is a zero :-)

Is there any way to get rid of it? Obviously with me downloading the html and delete it anytime.

I checked off the two setting about lab caches.

Thanks for the help,

Al

Wrong found caches in Virtual GPS

Whenever I add caches to the VGPS (e.g. from favorite point search with center/radius) it shows me some caches as found which I actually never found.
It seems quite random and also happens in regions where I for sure never found any cache.

They show up with status "Found" in the VGPS and also in the GPX export their status is found. After loading them to my c:geo and refreshing the data the found disappears....logically.

If I can deliver any more details to find the problem, just let me know.

Group logging under common nick

What do you think about group logs - I mean group of people go for hunt and makes one common nick for logging (in most cases names shortcut etc.) to be quicker. Sometimes powertrail owners allow this due space saving in logbook and then people from that group log individually on gc.com. But I know about cases where geocachers make own shorten nick and just tells cache owners this are we, who loggend so.
In my opinion is this way of logging at least discutable as geocaching rules says that geocacher should left his/her signature in logbook and then online on gc.com...

Logging of earthcaches

Just wondering which date people use when they are logging earthcaches. I tend to visit a site on one date, work out the answers at home some time later and then send the information to the CO, which is sometimes another date again. I use the date that I work out the answers as my 'found date' because that's when it feels I've completed the cache.

Now I know there's not going to be a rule as such, but I'd be interested to know which date other people use on these caches where there's nothing physical to sign and date.

Hi

It appears that in generated MyFinds gpx file all caches have symbol set to:

<sym>Geocache</sym>

And when loaded onto my Monterra (and I believe other models too) it appears on map as not found geocache (closed box).

File generated by geocaching website have this attribute set to:

<sym>Geocache Found</sym>

and it appears as open chest.

It would be great to have it fixed.

(It is listed on correct list though.)

Thanks!

Needed Found Dates - 2nd loop

When doing the first loop of found dates the Needed Found Dates option gave a handy list of the dates needed to complete the 366 days.

Now that I have completed the first loop this has fallen away. Is it possible to have the list of days in loops after the first one?

Lost travelbug finder

Hi!

Should be possible add some tool that can read all GC logs in all caches and is searching term like TB id or Name of TB. Some users mention that in logs. Maybe then is TB not lost and can be found :)

Or some tool that helps to find our lost trackables. Feel free to create that :D

Cache with most finds bug

My hides Profile "cache with most finds" has a bug. The cache that it shows as my most found cache isn't, and I'm puzzled as to why that one has been shown since its not even in my top ten.

it is showing this cache http://coord.info/GCFA39 with 855 finds instead of this one http://coord.info/GC6271 with 5,531 finds?

Feature Request: Needed Found Dates colour map

This is an idea for a possible improvement to the 'Needed Found Dates' page of the site.

I only have one date on which I haven't found a cache, that being the 29th February because there hasn't been a 29th February since I started caching and I have to wait until 2016 for the next one. I do, however, have approximately 60 days where I have only found one cache. I was wondering whether it would be possible to have a grid similar to the one displayed on the 'Map DT Matrix' which shows not only the days where you haven't yet found a cache, but also the days missing in the next 'loop'. For example, days with no caches could be coloured red, days with the next lowest count (in my case 1 cache) could be coloured yellow and all other days could be coloured green.

This would give cachers the challenge of finding caches on certain dates to complete their next calendar loop and lead to another statistic of the cacher with the highest number of caches on 366 days of the year.
