Please update friend league statistics for the current Cache Carnival challenge (or maybe remove it altogether?)

PGC implementing Friend League is a great idea. Seeing my rankings among my friends or within the world is great. But there are two well known problems. On one friend league challenge my friend was unable to make the cache requirement so he dropped a trackable into caches he had already found, and then retrieved it. PGC currently does not track trackables, so could not cope with this.
And secondly, Friend League keeps changing. Mostly it resets every Monday, but sometimes the points distribution changes, or the counts are not reset (at the moment they will not reset till October 3). And PGC cannot keep up.
For these reasons Friend League has close to no value at all within PGC - may as well remove it altogether.

It was a good attempt, alas it does not work.

Friend league needs fixing

Don't misunderstand me - there is nothing wrong with the Friend League. The problem is Friend League's short term turn-around, which PGC would have trouble keeping up with, and PGC's Friend League page, which does not do what it says it does.

For instance, if I look at my Statistics > Overview > Friend League (https://project-gc.com/Statistics/FriendLeague) it says my current score is 2835 points, which is false, as it is actually 86. It has not been in that order of magnitude since the Planetary Pursuit campaign. Yes, I understand why PGC shows it as 2835, but the page highlights comparing my current score with others, which it fails to do.

It would be great if the PGC page could do what it says it does, but I don't think that will ever be possible, due to the short period of the Friend league - points are reset every week, coupled with the errors as described on the page. So the fix is to replace the PGC page with one that describes what it actually can do: remove the idea that PGC is looking at the Friend League and replace it with Friend League campaigns or Friend League promotions, eg insert the words in red:

I am almost inclined to log this as a bug - the page does not do what it says it does. But a minor bit of work would fix it, more of an enhancement request than a bug :-)
