import bookmarklist to virtual gps inclusive bookmarklist notes

I have this list: https://coord.info/BMADMGZ containing 1000 geocaches and notes in the bookmarklist notes. Because of the restriction of 1000 caches I would like to continue with this list as a Virtual GPS instead. But the bookmarklist notes are important for me. Is there a way to import the bookmark list into the Virtual gps inclusive the bookmark list notes? Without copying them all manually of course.

In the Virtual GPS it would be nice to have an 'import' button to be able to upload an external gpx file with corrected coordinates just like we already have the export option

Missing waypoints in virtual GPS export

when I export GPX from virtual GPS and then import it to the app in my phone, caches are imported but they do miss all waypoints like stages, parking etc. I face this issue for many months but thought it is related to the app c:geo I was using exclusively. Now I started using Locus and noticed the same problem.

How I import on the phone: I tap on the downloaded ZIP file and chose the app I want to use to open the ZIP file (either c:geo or Locus).

I also tried to extract the ZIP file and import the main GPX file first, and then the second GPX with waypoints. This works for Locus but c:geo is still not able to import any waypoints (I get a info message Result 0 caches imported).

Considering both apps are able to open ZIP file, I would expect that both GPX in this ZIP file are imported at once.

Is anybody else facing this problem? What can I do to be able to import caches with waypoints in single step?

Hello all!

I'm curious if you can build a route from a GPX (or another file type) or any other way to view caches near a particular route.

What I'm trying to do:

The community is going to be building a power hiking trail along 47 miles of trail surrounding our city. Most of this trail is hiking and not accessible by car. Therefore, I would like to import a custom route in project-gc to see all caches in our area that intersect with the route (come in contact by radius). I've exported the GPX route from Garmin BaseCamp, so it could also be a GDB, CSV, KML, TCX, or Tabbed Text file. As I've solved most the mysteries/multis in town, I'm trying to think of a way I can view final GZ of non traditional caches to warn section owners (adopters/volunteers) of potential placement conflicts--without giving them the GZ coords of a nearby non-traditional caches.

I did look at the GPX tagged topics and searched for the answer previously. I don't think this has been asked before. Apologies if I missed this question.

Hi,

I've build a VGPS list of caches and I wanted to modify the name of the cache. For example "Eiffel-Tower" -> "10-Eiffel-Tower". The number added is in the column "Usernote1". I exported a .csv file from the VGPS and modified the file to get the "Cache name" I wanted.

I'd like to build a .gpx file but I can't import the .csv file to the VGPS.

Is there a way to solve my problem ?

It would be great, if it would be possible to upload a GPX file into the virtual GPS.

Now you can only import from a bookmark list. But what shall i do if I have a GPX file someone shared and I want to see and edit it?

So it would be very useful, if I could import those data into the virtual GPS.

I seem to have lost my "Proposed caches" bookmark list on GC - I can only assume I've deleted it by mistake.

However, I do have a recent GPX file of these generated from a PQ. Would it be possible to import this to a VGPS, which I can then export back to a new bookmark list?

Hello,

The two new features "import" and "export" of bookmark-lists are very interesting and practical.

But an even more interesting thing would be the automatic synchronization between PGC and GC (in each case for a VGPS / bookmark).

Mais une chose encore plus intéressante serait la synchronisation automatique entre PGC et GC (au cas par cas pour un VGPS/bookmark).
