New changes to milestones now have incorrect milestone

With the new changes to the way milestones are determined it has messed up my 10,000th milestone. I knew this was a problem back on 8/21/2021 so I made sure I logged my caches carefully so that both Project GC and Geocaching showed my 10000th cache as GC1169 - Project Ape Mission 9: Tunnel of Light. It was correct for years and now the changes have caused this to be incorrect. I do have GC1169 locked as my 10,000th milestone on Geocaching,com.

So after some log changes on geocaching,com I have been able to get my desired 10K cache GC1169 only 1 away from my desired cache. So I am unable to do anything with the log for GC8NEAT as this cache is locked and I asked Geocaching.com if they would assist with me relogging this cache and they flat out said NO.

So I am unfortunately now stuck with GC8NEAT as my 10K milestone even though I do not want this cache as my milestone. This whole thing with the Adventure Labs has caused major problems. I wish the Project GC algorithm would have been left alone and this adjustment would not have happened. Is there any way within the Project-GC domain I can define GC1169 this as my 10K milestone?

3/11/24 - My issue has been resolved. This can be closed.

Is it possible to edit milestones? Despite my best efforts, project-gc picked a lab cache anyway.

I specifically logged physical/virtual caches in the field along with the lab caches so that the the virtual I was working on would be #7000 and show a German flag. Afterwards, I went and did the lab caches that I walked past while completing the virtual. It worked on the geocaching.com profile but on project-gc it picked a random lab cache anyway... Not sure if this is a bug or not.

I'm just hoping someone has advice on how to fix it. It's kinda heartbreaking to not see a little German flag next to my 7000th milestone... It wouldn't be so bad if lab caches had country data.

Mein letzter Meilenstein wird auf project-gc nicht korrekt angezeigt. Auf geocaching.com jedoch richtig. Dort ist er auch fixiert.

Do you have custom lists in your milstones tab? If so, what do you put in it? I'm looking for examples to add to the Wiki page.

To get the ball rolling, I've got lists of SideTracked caches and Church Micro caches I've found in mine.

Remove lab caches from Milestones

Hello,
I would like to remove lab caches from the milestones (100th 1000th ....) but leave them in other statistics.

I this possible? on geocaching.com I can edit the milestone caches.

I can't add bookmark lists to my milestones tab

As the full FTF list has disappeard from the FTF tab, I thought I'd add my list to the milestones tab instead. However when I try to add a list, I put my name next to "Bookmark list", click "Get bookmark lists", but the dropdown menu it provides is blank. I have several publicly available lists (including my FTF list), so I can only assume this is a bug. Tried in Firefox and IE.

My last milestone is not displaying the cache it should be. The stats are updated, but probably the list is wrong because I found some lab caches that day, and the actual 3500th find does not match with the one registered on geocaching.com. Is there a way to fix this?

BadgeGen: own milestone list should be formated like the standard milestone lists

In the milestone tab in the BadgeGen there is the possibility to create an own milestone list from a bookmark list. But this list looks completly different than the standards milestone lists.

It would be nice, if this list could be formated like the other lists, that is with milestone number, country flag und cachetype icon. Is that possible?

Lab caches and first cache by country: one lingering bug

I see three of the bugs that resulted from adding lab caches to stats are gone: my header has the correct count, my milestones are accurate, and I no longer have a blank country showing up in First cache by country for lab caches.

One bug still remains: by removing lab caches from the calculus for First cache by country, it creates a discrepancy between that list and the regular milestones. GC5PN1W shows correctly in my milestones list as our 8000th find, but in First cache by country, it shows incorrectly as our 7990th.

Perhaps giving users a way to manually add location data for lab caches would help fix this?

I know that lab caches are a fairly recent addition to the statistics here - and thank you for that.

It is still a little jarring to see that they are included in the header but not most other places, for instance, they are ignored for purposes of calculating milestones.

I see in the FAQ that the plan is still to implement them into more than just the header for the stats page. Please include milestone calculation in these plans.

Edit to add: I'd also request that we have the option to use lab caches to calculate first cache by country as well, since that list is offset by missing lab caches as well.

Thank you for a great site. You have so much to offer that is not available on geocaching.com that makes membership here worthwhile.

Are the lab caches currently included when counting milestones? If not, is it planned in the future?

Vanishing custom cache lists

Today I tried to update some of my custom cache lists in Milestones tab and add a new one. All but one of the original lists vanished on the first attempt and eventually just the new custom cache list remained.

Is it a feature or a bug?

Request the ability to edit and lock milestone caches.

Feature request - Total cache-to-cache distance milestones

Apparently I've got a total cache-to-cache distance of around 27000 miles. This gave me the ida of diaplaying distance milestones in the milestone tab, and which caches were found to reach that milestone. Suggested values could be every 1,000 miles up to 10,000, then every subsequent 5,000 miles. WOuld this be possible?

Is there a way with PGC to find out which was my X:th found or hide?

Some coins for example have intervals that don't match the milestone interval on geocaching.com page. So let's say you would like to order your 250 caches found geocoin for example: http://www.geocoinshop.eu/Geocoins-with-Engraving/Geo-Award-Geocoin-250-Finds-Set-incl-Pin::2592.html

How can i find out which is my 250:th find because there is no milestone for 250. Is there a script or any function that can give this feedback.
