New Cache Notifier doesn't work

I followed your advice to create a list of new caches from a certain owner but it doesn't work. Of none of the caches that were published after 09/01/18 (that's the date when I created the notifier) I was informed by mail.

But: all the caches I talk about are hidden already in June or July 2018. Could that be the reason why the notifier skript can't identify them as "new"?

Is a cache visible before it is actually published?

I have placed a new cache and it was published today.

I set it to premium member only and so i am able to see the audit log.

The cache was published on 03.09.2018, at 08:01.

In the audit log i expected only to see the reviewer and myself.

But in the log are 50+ cachers who visited my cache since 02.09.2018, 23:01. They are all regional cachers.

Is there a way to see the cache before it was published? Or is there a way to get the GC Codes, that will be published within the next hours?

Create new Virtual GPS list without having to go to VGPS.

It would be great to be able to create a new VGPS list from the main toolbar so that I would not have to inturupt the query I am building to create a new list before continuing what I was doing.

Or maybe a Save to New VGPS list and then you have to go to vGPS to rename it to what you want later. You could add some logic to the naming... "From Map Compare VPGS on 2018-02-11" for example.

Once again, another year has come to a close. I hope everyone has had a great year of geocaching. Thanks to the pgc moderators for maintaining the site and constantly improving/adding features. Thanks to everyone who has asked and answered questions in the community support. I know we are all looking forward to the new year and the geocaching experiences in store.

New cache notifier based on cache owner

The feature I have been missing the most in new cache notifiers is the option to get an email when a certain owner has published a new cache. I have a bunch of owners I like a lot and would be glad to receive a notification if one of them has created a new cache. With only geography-based filtering I get a lot of false positives.

It would be fantastic if I could set up a list of cache owners in the PCG new cache notifier section and get an email if one of these owners has published something new. Additional filtering for cache type would also be nice.

I hope also other users might find this an useful feature.

PGC New cache notifiers - Your opinion?

Recently I have discovered this new feature of PGC. Great! Really much helpful and powerful tool. I like there is no perimeter limit and the format of the incoming mail is just super. Contains all the useful listing info, including geocache location maps with few zoom levels. I like the possibility to set the whole country and all of the types of caches notification in just one request. Very useful nowadays, when new virtuals are coming out. Concerning the daily/monthly usage limits, I have no objection. In my opinion 100/500 is quite enough. My experience is, that there is only and exactly one minute delay of the notification email comparing to the "original" one from the GC site. What I only miss, and consider the essential function, it is not working filter for regions/counties yet. With this filter the feature will become just perfect.

What is your opinion about and experience with the PGC New cache notifier?

It has just ticked over to 2017 here in Australia and I just wanted to say thanks to Project GC for providing us with another great year of using this website. Also, thanks for all those who took the time to post questions and answers this year.

I hope 2017 will be even better and I look forward to using this website next year and to any new features that might be added.

How to find newly published caches
