Would it be possible to extend the statistics about the oldest found caches so that you could also see the statistics about the oldest cache sorted by cache type? I could imagine the implementation similar to the D/T matrix. Thanks a lot

Hi All,

I couldn’t find a way to achieve this by searching through the forum.

How can I create the following statistic for my user name and country:

- count of caches found / not found (incl % found) for specific regions within a country, ideally also by cache type.

If this is not yet possible, it would be great to start a feature request. When clicked on the count it would be great to see the cache lists.

Wrong user name shown on my profile page

I am wind&water but on my geocaching profile page in Project-GC another user's profile is shown, wind. If I click on it, then everything is correct, I am wind&water again. But whoever sees my profile, can see the wrong user. How can I get it right?

Profile stats are not updating properly.

My Profile Stats are not updating as they should. Since I am not a paying member, I am expecting to see them updated every 7 days. As of today, 11-01-2017, my last update was 10-23-17. That is 9 days. I saw a comment recently about doing a refresh. I have done that to no avail.

I cache with several friends weekly, so I like to check them out occasionally. Today I checked them out and some of their Stats had not been updated since September and beginning of October.

There probably is some logical explanation. Thanks in advance for the help.

Enhancement: Delete invalid names from pick lists

From another thread I saw that profiles get deleted if GC API comes back saying the profile does not exist. However this is possibly not quite true, or, at least, does not apply to pick lists. What about users who have had a GC name change? I have been "the Seagnoid" for a long time now, and still "the seagnoid" shows in the profile name pick lists. Similarly, "etherlord", "Etherlord" and "Etherlord clan" are invalid, "Etherlord Clan" is correct. Try typing in "the s" or "eth" into a profile name field to see this.

If when selecting a profile and getting no response back (In fact we get the erroneous message "Profile name is required" rather than a more useful "Invalid profile name selected") could PGC please delete the invalid profile name from the pick lists.

Low priority. Integrating lab caches is much more important!

As project-gc contains already quite a large number of (my profile) stats, as well as find stats, I was wondering is it / will it be possible to add own custom modules to my profile statistics somehow?

With 'custom' I see at least two different approaches:
- Stats based on already existing 'finds stats ' query
- Stats based on a completely custom query / script defined by the user (eg. In a similar fashion than the user scripts for challenge checkers have been implemented)

I am not sure if this is a bug or not. I just checked my geocache http://coord.info/GC5MC4Q and I tried to load the profile stats of the person who FTFed this cache one week ago, as I wanted to see in his statistics at which elevation my cache is listed. in project-gc.com. Well, even though this is a frequent cacher who logged the FTF one week ago (online), his statistics is from 2015-02-23. I checked the 2nd find, logged at March 5th, and her statistics are from 2015-02-17. Both quite old, even for a non-premium member. Strange...

For me it seems like something is broken that updates statistics regularly. My own statistics are up-to-date, though...

Profile stats order: "Oldest found" and "Finds by hidden month"

The presentation order of Profile Stets shows "Oldest caches found", then two other unrelated tables, and then "Finds by Hidden Month".

Oldest caches are related to Finds by Hidden Month so it would be nice if the Hidden month table appeared first, and then the oldest caches straight afterwards please? When i read the Hidden month table then I'm wondering which caches people have found for their older finds so this order flows better.

Finds by hidden month incorrect

If I look at the "Finds by hidden month" section on my profile, it states that I've found two caches published in January 2015.

The problem is that I haven't logged any caches in 2015 yet, so how can I have found caches published then?

Bug? Or am I overlooking something?

Logarithmic scale on bearing charts

We have found caches in faraway places so our "Average distance by bearing" chart only shows a few spikes. It would be nice to be able to toggle logarithmic scales on the radial graphs.

At gc.com a cache can only be linked to one account. In reality caches are often hidden by a group of cachers where only one person can have the cache on his account. For statistic purposes it would be great if you could manually add GC-Codes to the generation of your "profile stats hides" overview for all the caches which you have hidden as part of a group of cachers but they are not linked to your account.

Hello,

I know the FTF is not supported by Groundspeak. But what a joy to hunt FTF. Therefore there is often a podium TFT / STF / FTT.

In "Profile"> "List of FTF" and "FTF forgotten" as well as personal statistics, would it be possible to add the management of STF and TTF?

Wrong number of counties and regions in "Stat Compare"?

When I look at http://project-gc.com/Profile/statcompare/?profile_name=hotdog1001&profile_name2%5B0%5D=Funky_Boris&profile_name2%5B1%5D=littlemaiks&submit=Filter it appears that I have found 6 regions in Denmark and 61 counties in Denmark.

However, according to http://project-gc.com/Tools/MapCounties?profile_name=hotdog1001&country=Denmark&submit=Filter I have only found 60 counties.

And there are only 5 regions in Denmark (and I have of course only found these 5).

I can't find the reason for this discrepancy - can you help?

How is the "Cache centroid" calculated?

My Cache centroid is more north than my Most Northerly cache found.

So obviously it does not refer to average coordinates.

Is it possible that the centroid is calculated as 3-dimensional? So if I have something in Europe and in USA, the centroid can be even under the Greenland's surface.

Is that correct?

Average distance by bearing is a bit clumsy

On the profile stats, there is a radar chart with average distance by direction. But when I have just one distant cache, all the other directions have so small average distance compared to that one direction, that the chart is unusable.

I propose two solutions (both can be used together, or it could be configurable)

1. use log-scale for average distance

2. the average is calculated for disjoint intervals of directions. The chart will be more smooth if the average is with overalapping intervals (i.e. 0° - 30°, 10° - 40°, 20° - 50°, ...)

it is not really a bug, more a small improvement of the German profilstats page. There are some english phrases in the German page. Maybe it is fixable.

if you have found a cache only in one region (Bundesland), it should be written "In 1 von 19 Bundesländern gefunden in Norwegen" but the direct translation into German sounds a little bit crazy. It would be better: "In 1 von 19 Bundesländern von Norwegen Caches gefunden."

Add option to set Lone vs. Group Cacher preference

I would like to have the option to set that my account is a team account. This affects (at least) one of the sections in profile statistics eg. "Finders of my caches". Another option is to change the section to something like "Finders of Ländin's caches".

I have an idea for additional overview that will fit into Profile section.

My Caching Friends (or whatever we will call it) statistics should show me the list of other geocachers sorted (DESC) by number of caches that we both found on the same day (same Found it / Attended date).

Additional filters can be applied as usual in other views.

Map of Luxembourg lacks colours

Dear, guess this is some kind of bug, but on our profile (maps-page), the map of Luxembourg (the country) lacks colouring for the regions with founds. Probably something to do with the new polygon data I guess.
