Route via GPX Import

Hello all!

I'm curious if you can build a route from a GPX (or another file type) or any other way to view caches near a particular route.

What I'm trying to do:

The community is going to be building a power hiking trail along 47 miles of trail surrounding our city. Most of this trail is hiking and not accessible by car. Therefore, I would like to import a custom route in project-gc to see all caches in our area that intersect with the route (come in contact by radius). I've exported the GPX route from Garmin BaseCamp, so it could also be a GDB, CSV, KML, TCX, or Tabbed Text file. As I've solved most the mysteries/multis in town, I'm trying to think of a way I can view final GZ of non traditional caches to warn section owners (adopters/volunteers) of potential placement conflicts--without giving them the GZ coords of a nearby non-traditional caches.

I did look at the GPX tagged topics and searched for the answer previously. I don't think this has been asked before. Apologies if I missed this question.

It looks like the route builder might be back up. Has this been fixed or have we just not exhausted the API calls yet for the Directions API?

The route feature is a powerful filter that would be very useful on a road trip with Project-gc's live map, especially if we could also see county and region borders.

i'm trying to understand how to use the Route Builder. Is there a tutorial somewhere ?

Actually, i'm just able to create a route and save it but... cannot use it to find cache or anything else. I'm not seeing it on my filters or anywhere.

Where is my saved route?

I started to build a route in the west of Germany into Holland and south to Belgium. I am sure I saved the route (I think I used the name "THE EPIC ROADTRIP", it is what it is...). But now on an other computer I can't find it.

I created a new route with tha name Test and it seems like it is saved ok. I can see it in a new brower session. I have not tried to find it on an other computer.

Where did my saved route go?

Could someone explain how to use the route builder option?

Would someone please help me understanding the route builder option? I have a route created but I can not figure out how to veiw caches that woud fall along this route. Thanks for any help given.

I'm often using routes for my filters, because here I've more comfort than on GC web site.

But I'm missing here (and there also) the feature to upload routes/trackes created by other tools.

Are there any plans to add such a feature in near future, because the usability of routes in the filters in general is very good?
