Request for a Cache Maintenance Badge

I enjoy doing cache maintenance and getting the troops in order. It’s almost as good as finding caches. I think it would be great to raise the profile of the green maintenance spanner to a level equivalent to that of a smiley.

Would it be possible to have your green spanners as part of your stats, and have a reward badge on BadgeGen too? I think this would be cool way to promote cache maintenance - it would be a win-win for COs and seekers.

I note that there were some comments previously about frequent maintenance suggesting a poorly designed cache - but I would argue that no cache can ever be maintenance free. There is always cache creep, full logbooks, wet contents, torn ziplock bags, rubbish and damage to containers that affect every single cache. Regular, pro-active maintenance is the sign of a committed CO, and it would be great to see this recognised.

Changed statistics in case of change of home location / relocation

What happens to the previous statistics data if, for example, you move to another region?

Actually, there should be some kind of subtotal for the statistics of the previous home location. Then a new count for the new home location and finally a sum result from both (or more) subtotals.

If something like this does not exist yet, I am in favour of integrating it as a new feature.

Kind regards
SuchfixBW

Logging stats for other cachers

I’m in the process of submitting a Challenge cache and the reviewer is requesting that I can show that a minimum of ten cachers in Sweden fulfill the conditions. The conditions are to have logged a certain number if ECs and Virtuals. Does anyone know if/how one can research this? / geocordially, Killakul

New stats for owners about performed maintenance, how often, average per time / cache etc.?

I'm wondering if a few additional profile stats on the "hides" tab about owner's maintenance would be interesting for some people?

Just like "days since last maintenance" or total number of maintenance, average per time / per cache (wo events) etc.

Some more might be interesting and perhaps wouldn't be a great effort to calculate and add?

In top cacher, suggest to represent status of caches in different colors

With a lot of caches I'm proud to have a lot of maintained caches in good condition. Sometime i think it's time to have a maintenance run.

Suggestion: in the top cacher statistics,

- color the line in two color for archived and available

- or more intersting, in 3 with archive, maintenance needed, and available.

keeping the total lenght of the line

caches with a elevation >5000m?

it is only a question and maybe the section can be add into the elevation chart of the profil statistic. The elevation chart ends with the latest section <5000m. What happen with caches over 5000m? Will they be ignored or will they be count in the 5000m section?

Is there a problem with the stat "most states in a day"?

Does anyone else have a problem with the statistic "most states in a day"?

This stat has been coming up wrong for me from the beginning. Instead, it is reporting and listing the most countries in a day.

One missing cache in my statistic

Long time ago i logged a cache that i adopted this summer. Could it be that, making my statistic showing wrong number of finds. -1 on PGC. This occured recently, maybe just a few (3-4 days) ago. I have not in near past logged a withdrawn cace. Any idea how to find out which one casuing this?

Exclude specific caches (saved on a Bookmark list) from statistics

Similar to the FTF Bookmark List, it would be very nice to have a Bookmark List where all Caches are saved that should be excluded from the Statistics.

For example I have found a cache in the USA that was part of a "Community Partnership" Thing: One multi cache was hidden in Germany and another in the USA. Both caches had the first stage and the final in the "own" country, but the second stage was in the other country. For example, we had here in Germany the first stage, but the found coordinates led to the US. So you needed a cacher in the USA that found the final coordinates there for you. Cachers there had the same situation so it resulted in finding a "partner" that gives you your final coordinates and you give hin your found final coordinates. And at the end, you sign both participants in the logbook as a "thank you", because both took part in both caches.

Long story short: I have logged the USA Cache as part of this partnership community thing, but I don't want it to be in my statistics as a physical cache.

Similar situation exists with many "couch potatoe" virtual caches that some cachers found before the guidelines changed.

I think it is not much afford to invent such an "exclude caches from statistics" list due to the existing FTF Bookmark include thing. I would be very happy :)
