How often du you update the souvenir order?

In the folder "Souvenirs" of my stats sit since quite some time the new treasure souvenirs, I retroactively gained last year, they should be filed under "Other".

I know, you were doing some general updates with the whole site, so this was probably not very high on the priority list (and right so!). This is just a friendly question with as well no real priority.

Why has NZL 3 regions and not anymore 2 as it was before?

When I visited NZ in 2018 I had a lot of founds in the southern and in the northern island. As I also visited all regions in NZ - like Otago, Nelson, Gisborne or Taranaki, I reached a coverage of 100% for the North Island, 100% for the South Island, and because NZ was divided into these 2 territories I also reached a coverage of 100% for NZ as the whole country.

Some months later - I cannot remember exactly when that happened - I found out that there was a change and a third territory, called Chatham Islands, had been introduced into the NZ territory. I had not been there and therefore my coverage for NZ changed to 66%, as one third was missing.

When I looked more precisely onto Chatham Islands I found out that there were only very little caches and not many geocachers ever visited this small island. So I think it is not correct to give this small island the status of one third of New Zealand.

My question now:

- Who was responsible for this change in territory division?

- Why did that happen? Is there anybody to give so much attention to such a little island?

- And last question: Why???

Any answers are welcome, best would be to get in contact with the person responsible for the territory division (especially in NZL).

On the D/T chart was a cache type selector. Why it is now missing?

From time to time I was happy to use the selector to see the D/T matrix per particular type. Now the button is missing there. Not sure if this is intention or a bug, as there is note on the membership page that the open functionality will not be reduced ("There are no plans to remove any content that are currently available to everyone and make it available to paying members only").

Would it be possible to extend the statistics about the oldest found caches so that you could also see the statistics about the oldest cache sorted by cache type? I could imagine the implementation similar to the D/T matrix. Thanks a lot

I couldn’t find a way to achieve this by searching through the forum.

How can I create the following statistic for my user name and country:

- count of caches found / not found (incl % found) for specific regions within a country, ideally also by cache type.

If this is not yet possible, it would be great to start a feature request. When clicked on the count it would be great to see the cache lists.

Stats report: (a) 400+ day active streak but (b) only "364 caching days over 365 total days". Seems a glitch?

Our primary stats page (for bejs) reads as pasted below. It simultaneously says that we have cached for 409 days in a row (which is accurate), but in the last 365 days we only had 364 caching days. Does this reflect a technical glitch, or is there something peculiar about our finds that suggests this. We have never done just Lab Caches on any day - we have always had regular cache finds on the four days we tested out Lab Caches (and decided that at least for now, they are not for us). Any info would be helpful! Thanks. EDIT: Adding the following paragraph as additional info:

FWIW, I almost always see the "364 caching days over 365 total days" and have at least ever since I crossed passed 365 on my streak. (Before I passed 365 I would have had no easy way to know if the "xxx caching days over 365" figure was right or wrong.) So this problem is not just a fleeting issue.

Last 365 days:	1095 finds in 364 caching days over 365 total days (99.7%)
Last 365 days averages:	3.01 finds per caching day, 3.00/day, 21.06/week, 91.25/month

Streak continues on profile, but ended on stats page?

I'm on a consecutive 879 day caching streak, and this is reflected in my personal profile (kill me now). I've been tracking my progress among other top streakers in Ontario, but at some point about a month ago, my stats on the "leaderboard" stopped updating. Now, my bar has turned red.

I've tried doing "self-service", to recount finds, but after several days, those options are still disabled, and the problem hasn't resolved. Anybody know why this is happening, and if there's something I can do to resolve it?

Is there a way to add a custom list of caches to my hides stats?

Is there a way to have the "Hides" stats include a custom additional list of caches - in my case, I'm interested in adding caches that I hid on behalf of a local nature center account, and also caches that I have adopted out to other cachers as I'm leaving my home state where I started caching. Discrepancy in "hides"-tab between basic member and paying member

A friend of mine (Grubenhex) and I frequently share the information about our statisitcs. recently I (being a paid member) looked up her statistiks about her finds seeing 70 caches with about 15888 finds and 899 FP's. At the same time my friend (being a basic member) looked up the same page with her account. She only saw owning 58 caches with 12146 finds and 583 FP's.

How can this happen?? Her GC-Profile shows 70 caches in her posession!

A few days ago she adopted a bunch of caches and the twelve missing caches did not show up a finde in the timeframe between adpotion and regeneration of the stats. I assume the stats will build up to the figures I can see with my account once the caches receive some new logs. it's confusing

But anyway - there seems to be a bur in the way you collect the stats if a basic member or a paying mamber is doing (the same) inquiry.

Why are BadgeGen matrix loop addons capped at 99 but still show real number in Find Stats?

After authenticating, I went to Statistics - Profile stats, then downloaded static HTML file, copy-pasted its contents to the About field in my profile. Now the statistics are rendered correctly when I view my profile in GC.com, but the tabs do not work at all. They don't work in FF nor in Opera, and not even for a different GC.com user who also has statistics generated by project-gc in his profile. Can this be fixed, please?

I have previously been able to see my personal stats relating to my Finds, Maps, Milestones and FTFs, but I can't see them any more, the only sections available being Hides, BadgeGen and Souvenirs. Am I just being a bit dim or is there a reason for this (I have authenticated my account).

My Profile Stats are not updating as they should. Since I am not a paying member, I am expecting to see them updated every 7 days. As of today, 11-01-2017, my last update was 10-23-17. That is 9 days. I saw a comment recently about doing a refresh. I have done that to no avail.

I cache with several friends weekly, so I like to check them out occasionally. Today I checked them out and some of their Stats had not been updated since September and beginning of October.

There probably is some logical explanation. Thanks in advance for the help.

Number of logs in a defined area and time?

I am looking for a tool or a p-gc function, that allows me to show the number of all "found" logs for a defineable area in a defineable timeframe. For example: all found logs for all cache types for the location Germany / Baden-Württemberg / Ostalbkreis for the year 2016. Best would be with definable cachetype, D/T, size, location, log time, log type (found, DNF, NA,...)....

Is this possible already? Where or how-to?

found total inconsistency

HI all

My finds total shown by geocaching.com shows 9094 (which is actually correct), whereas my finds total shown by project-gc shows 9093. A week ago they were both in agreement at 9060. I'm not really bothered about +/- one single cache, but I would like both numbers to match. I waited a few days for the anomaly to correct itself, but it hasn't so I'm asking here.

The error must be with project-gc as the official site is showing the correct numbers. Anyone have any ideas as to how I can correct this ?

Graph colours - Top caches in one year

The lines depicting the numbers in the Top streaks statistics are coloured to depict if the streak is over (red) or active (green)

It would be great if the lines could be coloured in the statistics for "Top caches in one year" with the line green if the number was achieved in the current year and red if it was achieved in previous years.

That will make it easier to interpret.

I feel that my statistics are no updated. I use Project-GC in French. And I emptied the browser cache.

In French, it tells me:
"Jipem a trouvé(e) 2419 caches sur 2419 caches uniques. Données à la date du 2016-09-20".

If I pass PGC in English, it tells me:
"Jipem has 2430 finds on 2430 unique geocaches. Data from 2016-09-20" (it's OK).

The difference between 2430 and 2419 is as of 17/09 with +4 caches, and as of 20/09 with +7 caches.

Although caches 20/09 have not yet taken into account, it should still give me 2423 as these are the caches found the 17/09 and that statistics were generated 20/09 (knowing that in English, it shows me in 2430 found caches).

I tried the "self-support" but no change yesterday.

J'ai l'impression que mes statistiques ne s'actualisent plus. J'utilise Project-GC en langue française. Et j'ai vidé le cache du navigateur.

En français, ça m'indique :

La différence entre le 2430 et le 2419 se situe en date du 17/09 avec +4 caches, et en date du 20/09 avec +7.

Même si les caches du 20/09 ne sont pas encore prises en compte, ça devrait tout de même m'indiquer 2423 puisque ce sont les caches trouvées le 17/09 et que les statistiques ont été généré le 20/09 (sachant qu'en langue anglaise, ça m'indique bien 2430 caches trouvées).

J'ai tenté l'"auto-support" hier mais aucun changement.

Log of a cache is not counted in country statistics

Hi !

Last year at the GIGA in Mainz I logged the Cuckoo Cache (https://coord.info/GC4C35), that is "placed" in the UK. In my statistics there is no found in the UK, at other users statistics its counted correctly (e.g. Team_Mad_Cats). Why is the cache not counted as a found in the UK in my statistics ?

Hide count discrepancy for future events

I've noticed that when I've organised a future event, there's a discrepancy in the count of my hides between the stats page and the stat bar. For example, my current stat bar shows 33 hides, whereas my stats page only shows 32. The difference is presumably an event I've just had published due to take place in October - the stats bar seems to include future event but the stats page doesn't. Is there any chance this could be resolved so that the pages are consistent? Thanks.

Hi,

I know that the most important logs are the "Found it" ones but I think the other ones are also important in the game. The DNF mean the cache is difficult or it may have disappear, the "need maintenance" and the "write note" help the CO, the "maintenance done" are an important info on the CO...

What about a way to count them? We can imagine that the percentage of DNF in the total logs quantity can be calculate and comparate with the percentage of the other geocachers.

Show furthest caches in home country?

It's cool how Proj GC shows your furthest caches in every direction.... however, one overseas trip tends to skew the numbers.... I'd love to be able to see the absolute furthest, and maybe the furthest in our usual caching areas? Seems weird I know, but it's nice to push the boundaries, but we can't get back to New Zealand every second weekend, and once you get one there, its unlikely you'll find too many more further east (or south!)....

I wonder whether there is a statistic on the total number of caches per country. We discussed the issue recently and I remembered to have heard that Germany is on No 2 on this list but there might be surprises if you look further and compare cache by area or by inhabitants (which of course could be easily done externally). Is anybody aware of a list how many caches are in which country, even if updated only there and then?

My Found Count Includes Archived Logs

Owing to a mess up while using GSAK, I managed to accidentally log two finds on one of my own caches (which was already archived itself). I deleted (archived) both "Found" logs on gc.com and a little while later, my Found Count there came good again.

However, ever since, it has bee WRONG here on Project-gc.com. It shows TWO MORE finds on ONE MORE geocache than is correct.

I can only assume that the API includes archived found logs in its output - is there a way for Project-gc to suppress these (which are clearly not wanted)?

Number of logs per area

I would like a new stats list, for number of found logs per area, to see which region/county gets the most visits.

I'm pretty sure this was possible before. Am I wrong? Is it gone, or just hidden?

Edit: To clarify, I want a list like this: http://project-gc.com/Statistics/CachesPerArea but for Logs instead of caches (LogsPerArea).

New belts and points

Hi,

i'm wondering if there are any new belts or points coming?

For example STF and TTF are used on logs but are not valued anywhere.

Badges for the total distance the travel bugs you own have traveled.

Badges for the total distance a geocacher moved travel bugs (own and others).

Rate of favourite points on owned caches (the rate is important, not the number).

The number of countries for which at least 50% of the zones have been covered.

The number of countries in which at least 5 different cache types have been found.

And many other ideas.

I know that the belts and points are produced based on someone else's idea but it's been there for some time and maybe it should evolve.

Missing Statistic, kilometer TBs moved

While logging some TBs today, I wondered if there is also a statistic about how many Kilometers or Miles a Cacher MOVED TBs and Coins. I think this is pushing more that people take TBs with them on travel vs simply discovering them.

The counting should be limited to maximum 50 (but could also be 10...) visits per person travelling with. This is to exclude mileage tags which visit each cache of an owner or prolonged visits to get distances. Additionally only Caches count that the current travelling owner has also found on the same day.

I like the new statistic item "Log similarity", because it tells you more about the quality of the logs than the log length. Would it be possible to integrate the log similarity also in the stat compare? And it also would be interesting to have a top list for log similarity...

Why is my FTF total so low weeks after I went through and added [FTF] or {FTF} to the logs?

I have over 50 FTFs. But for the longest time only three of them were counted in the stats. I learned that this was the case because I had not used [FTF] or {FTF} in their logs.

<tangent> This begs the question: why did it detect those three at all? </tangent>

Anyway, I learned about the [FTF] or {FTF} log trick three weeks ago and went through the FTF checker, identified my FTFs and edited their logs accordingly. Since then, the total has ratcheted up by one or two (even between weekly refreshes - which I don't understand) every few days. I was waiting to pose this question to see if the whole lot of them would come in after last week's weekly refresh, but it only crept up to 12. I wasn't sure why there were about 40 outstanding FTFs with {FTF} leading off the first line of the found it log. I thought maybe I could speed things along by adding another {FTF} at the end of each log just to make sure, but that hasn't changed anything after this morning's refresh. It's only up to 16 now.

Yes, I could make a bookmark list, but this is supposed to be a more automatic way because I can add the special [FTF] notation in the field. The FTF I found last night is one of the 16 on my stats page this morning, in fact.

And yes, I am not yet a paying member. I'm playing with the system to see if I want to use it as my primary stats tool. I know I only get a once-weekly refresh, but I'm assuming my refresh is of the same quality I'd get if I was paying and getting it once per day. I'm considering this a test drive.

Bug in chart "Average distance by bearing"

In my profile the chart "average distance by bearing" shows incorrect data. I cache mostly in central europe but I have also found a couple of caches in Florida. This of course results in one big spike in the chart. I have this spike, but it points towards about 288 degrees, so a bit northerly. The thing is now that Florida is way south of central Europe. The caches I found there were about 28 degrees N, while my other caches are typically at N48. So the spike should be somewhere around 240 degrees but definitely below 270 degrees.

I copied the HTML code to my profile but I only see an empty spot. It worked yesterday morning and in the evening it was gone. I resized some banners in the meantime. When I noticed it was gone I tried the profile image alone without any banners. Now everything is like it was yesterday morning. I also tried several browsers and I've cleaned the browser cache. I can see the profile stats images of my friends.

In my world map in the statistics (http://project-gc.com/ProfileStats/DerLakaiMS), France is still white, while it is correctly colored green in the map of Europe. Only a small glitch, but once you realize it you see it all the time...

Cache stats - logs per date

Under statistics, why does the filter results only show my ranking in my former home state?

When searching on any of the "Top" statistics, PGC returns my ranking only when i filter on my former home country / state. I've updated my home coordinates on Geocaching.com and have verified that PGC is displaying my new home coordinates on the setting page.

Case in Point: My Top caching year was 2011 when I lived in Kentucky, I later moved to North Carolina then moved to Utah but when I search on Top Caching Year, PGC only returns my ranking when I filter on United States / North Carolina. If I filter on Kentucky or Utah, PGC does not display my ranking.

Any assistance in correcting or understanding would be greatly appreciated.
