Enhancement: Delete invalid names from pick lists

From another thread I saw that profiles get deleted if GC API comes back saying the profile does not exist. However this is possibly not quite true, or, at least, does not apply to pick lists. What about users who have had a GC name change? I have been "the Seagnoid" for a long time now, and still "the seagnoid" shows in the profile name pick lists. Similarly, "etherlord", "Etherlord" and "Etherlord clan" are invalid, "Etherlord Clan" is correct. Try typing in "the s" or "eth" into a profile name field to see this.

If when selecting a profile and getting no response back (In fact we get the erroneous message "Profile name is required" rather than a more useful "Invalid profile name selected") could PGC please delete the invalid profile name from the pick lists.

Low priority. Integrating lab caches is much more important!

Special thanks to Project-GC

This site, IMHO, is the best thing in geocaching since the invention of geocaching. By far, for me, I enjoy Progect-GC as much as the actual hunt and find.

You all have done amazing work and are clearly at the top.

My thanks to Ganja1447 and his crew

Lately I have filed a number of bug reports and enhancement requests. I am also aware of other work Ganja1447 is currently working on, and on top of all that there is server maintenance, backup tapes, financials, and yet he still finds time to respond to emails.

Basically I have become more aware of the size of the development queue - and it is not small.

I am most impressed by your work and the site, Ganja. Many thanks for all the effort.

(This is me apologising for any nagging about my pet enhancements not yet been completed)

Force https, can for example use https://letsencrypt.org/ for certificate

For security for both project-gc and its users, I recommend forcing https for project-gc.com.

For a good talk about the issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YMfW1bfyGSY
Membership status menu location

Today when I wanted to check when my paid membership expires, I had some trouble locating the information. I intuitively clicked on my username on the top right. This is where such information would be accessed on other sites. On project-gc, however, it's in the home menu . To me, this was confusing.

Bug: "View source" button for scripts on scripts tab doesnt load after search

To replicate. Visit http://project-gc.com/Tools/Challenges?script enter a search term eg: north and click search buttonthen click view source button against any script. A new box opens with Loading and a busy circle. It never completes. I also note the top line says ", by".

Interestingly if you don't enter a search term then the view source buttons work almost instantly.
