After reaching ''Diamond'' status, the user enables the possibility for loops, for some ''Badges''. Once the user has received twice the requirement for Diamond they will get a circle with number two in it in the top right corner. Some ''Badges'' are not possible to loop at all, some have a loop-limit of 9, and others 99.

== Addons ==
Several ''Badges'' can have mini-badges added to them, these are called ''Addons''. For example, ''[[The Traditional Cacher]]'' will get a nice 366-addon added to it if the user has logged a Geocache of the type Traditional on every date of the calendar.

The original idea with Addons was that they were supposed to be something the user could work on after they had their Diamond. It was a concept aiming to please those who have been geocaching a lot, for a long time. The design was even to require a Diamond to show them. When Project-GC started detailing it out more and more it became clear that some Addons will be fairly easy and others more or less impossible. The original idea was definitely aiming more for impossible than easy though. It is not meant that everyone should get every Addon, and even more so, not within a year or two.

Until May 2026, ''Addons'' required the status to be [[Gembadge]] in order to be displayed. After some considerations, this requirement has been removed.

The following placeholder ''Badges'' shows the available ''Addons''. Since some of them share locations, they can not be shown on a single ''Badge''. No ''Badge'' can have all these ''Addons'' and the combinations shown below are not possible.

== Country Badges ==
These Badges are awarded for finding caches in a country. The quality of the badge is awarded based on the percentage of states/regions that the user has logged a cache in.

== History ==
BadgeGen was originally created and maintained by [[Kyle Mills]], as a macro for GSAK. In the early days [[Project-GC]] had the license to make a similar implementation of it embedded in Project-GC. In year 2020, the ownership of BadgeGen was transferred to the owner of Project-GC. This was done since [[Kyle Mills|Kyle]] himself was not geocaching anymore, and both parts wished for the name of BadgeGen to live on. Alongside with the acquiring of the BadgeGen license the product went through a big overhaul, adding new badges, rebalancing, new features and a new badge design. == Addons ==
Several ''Badges'' can have mini-badges added to them, these are called ''Addons''. For example, ''[[The Traditional Cacher]]'' will get a nice 366-addon added to it if the user has logged a Geocache of the type Traditional on every date of the calendar.

The original idea with Addons was that they were supposed to be something the user could work on after they had their Diamond. It was a concept aiming to please those who have been geocaching a lot, for a long time. The design was even to require a Diamond to show them. When Project-GC started detailing it out more and more it became clear that some Addons will be fairly easy and others more or less impossible. The original idea was definitely aiming more for impossible than easy though. It is not meant that everyone should get every Addon, and even more so, not within a year or two.

Until May 2026, ''Addons'' required the status to be [[Gembadge]] in order to be displayed. After some considerations, this requirement has been removed.

The following placeholder ''Badges'' shows the available ''Addons''. Since some of them share locations, they can not be shown on a single ''Badge''. No ''Badge'' can have all these ''Addons'' and the combinations shown below are not possible.

BadgeGen was originally created and maintained by [[Kyle Mills]], as a macro for GSAK. In the early days [[Project-GC]] had the license to make a similar implementation of it embedded in Project-GC. In year 2020, the ownership of BadgeGen was transferred to the owner of Project-GC. This was done since [[Kyle Mills|Kyle]] himself was not geocaching anymore, and both parts wished for the name of BadgeGen to live on. Alongside with the acquiring of the BadgeGen license the product went through a big overhaul, adding new badges, rebalancing, new features and a new badge design. Maps tab

The '''Maps tab''' is a tab in a users [[Profile Stats]] that shows where they have found caches. At the top there is a World map that shows how many of the 250 countries the user have found caches in, under the world map all the found countries are listed with the number of caches found in each country.

Next is a map of the country where the user have found the most caches followed by maps for the [[continent]]s where the user have found caches and after that a map for each country that the user have found a cache in. This tab will be very long if the user have logged many countrys.

The maps of individual countries have toggle buttons for regions and counties, there is also buttons for each individual region that the user have found caches in, clicking the button with the regionname produces a map of the region with the found counties marked.

== Colors ==
Every area where the geocacher has found at least one geocache gets colored to show that they have geocached there. There are five levels of colors, the darker the color, the more finds in the area. The color levels are based on two requirements, whichever is lowest (easiest) is used.

The dynamic requirement is based on how many percent of the currently active geocaches the geocacher has found. More than 100% is possible if some of the finds are now archived.

== Image sizes ==
The default size of the map images are made to fit Profile stats by using a size of max 734 pixels in width or 512 pixels in height. When clicking a map it opens up in a larger version. By copy/pasting the link a user can adjust the image size to use by adjusting the scale parameter (by adding &scale=VALUE to the url). Available values are: 1 (default), 2, 4, 8, 16.

== Map sources ==
All maps are generated based on data from [[OpenStreetMap]] with the one exception, Canada, which has a mix of sources. The polygon data is imported via [https://osm-boundaries.com OSM-Boundaries.com]. If you find issues with the borders the data can be corrected in [[OpenStreetMap]], Project-GC will then update its polygons with the next update.

This Badge existed in BadgeGen v3.
