This Badge existed in BadgeGen v3.
With the 4.x release in early 2020 the upper requirements were reduced some. The reason was to make it more even with [[The Brainiac]]. At this point in time there were 16000 Geocachers who had [[The Brainiac]] ''Diamond'', but only 6500 who had [[The Rugged Cacher]] ''Diamond''. As we see these as equivalents, even though they are opposites, we figure they should be similarly hard to achieve. At the same point in time [[The Brainiac]] got its requirements increased.
