What's Hot? is a tool that uses some algorithms to try to find "upcoming caches" in favorite points and caches that are popular right now. Most of the caches found will be from all over the country but part of the algoritm focuses on the users home coordinates in case the home country is chosen.

The algorithm works best in countries where there actually are a lot of favorite points spent.

The page only has the filter for Cache location and even though the continents are listed in the filter for technical reasons it can only be used on countries

Algorithm

The basis for the algorithm is to look at the logs of geocaches and pick the top 100 per country. Top 100 is based on having the highest percent FP during the last 30 days.

For the 11 countries with most geocaching activity the list of geocaches is 200 long instead.
