Request a checker for GC8A7CQ 300 contiguous counties. Can be limited the US since the necessary geographic data does not appear to be available in other countries. Checkers for 100, 200, 250 contiguous counties have been created. The last 2 recently.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Request for GC8A4BK for checker for 20 states each with 10 counties found.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
the created checker works fine. I've added it to the cache, which was then submitted for review and has been published. thanx for the quick turn around. you should expect another checker request at a higher level of counties.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I first sent a request to this forum a month ago to clarify these issues: definition of contiguous, acceptability to geo hdqtrs. Waited a couple weeks and got zero replies. So created a cache requiring 200 contig. counties and got a checker overnight. Submitted the cache for review and was approved and published. It has had a few finds. I volunteered addl info to the reviewer about the potentialby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I reran the tests on budabeli, cyclegreen and another failing cacher. This time the checker worked fine. I was very careful to use the suggested cacher name in blue when performing the test which then failed. . I ran budabeli 3x, each time after first exiting from firefox.. Not clear why it did not work unless gc-project computer was overloaded with other processing. Anyway, I'll add the cheby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please cancel this topic, I received an answer by a different route which suggests that it is possible to request a checker based on the number of counties. Have not yet submitted that cache (GC88Y1N) for review, so need to pass that test. If you see GC88Y1N is active, the challenge is approved.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Tested the checker. worked correctly for dagrandpa, VeesMom, albuquerquebill, and some others failed for budabeli, cyclegreen and some others. (failed = ran for 60 seconds and gave no results) I ran the same cachers with the checkers for GC4EJRG GC4EJQB which state the problem in terms of connected regions (states) but output the number of counties used. These 2 checkers worked for all caby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This is request for a checker for proposed cache GC88Y1N. The challenge is to find 200 contiguous counties.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I had a checker built for 100 contiguous counties GC6TQ77 in 2017. I requested a checker for 150 contiguous counties which was approved and then canceled before I could submit a cache for review. As I recall the problem raised was with caches in counties touching at corners or caches with counties separated by water, rivers or lakes. In looking at existing checkers it seems that regions (statby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)

checker is fine. Thank you for fast turnaround. I notice a small table error. The county Dona Ana is not showing up as being contiguous for 2 cachers with finds in that county, dagrandpa and fam2go. The official name of the county is Doña Ana County, New Mexico. The geocaching name is without the tilde over the n. Is that the reason for the omission?by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

the coloring of the counties depends on which checker is used. Look at the result on dagrandpa from (10 counties) http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC70AQY/24808 I can send you screen shots Send your email address to standunin@gmail.comby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I ran one of your checkers. If I understand the display codes; green is used for the largest segment of contiguous counties and purple for for all others. Note that in state MS I show a break in the counties. We had star ted in Dallas that day and I remember that we missed a couple of counties heading east as it was getting late in the day. Yet it shows the counties east of that break as contiguby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
map much nicer now. thanx. suggestion.: I notice that your checker is case sensitive on the cacher name. Does geocaching permit 2 cachers to have names that differ only on the use of capital letters? If not, then you might want to ignore capitalization on the input. Of course, if your name search will only get a match on the exact spelling used by the cacher then this suggestion is useless.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
this sounds interesting. I am assuming that you are not requiring that the name of the State Capital be in the cache name. Could you clarify what is required?by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Checker works fine. the graphic display could be improved to zoom in on the United States rather than the entire world. But that is minor. I have submitted a cache for review in NM. Have not had any response yet from the Reviewer to see if it is publishable. There are at least 6 qualifying cachers and lots more at the 50 level. So prospect is good.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Have identified a problem. Wolf11469 logged the cache. Running the checker shows that he is missing a find in Feb 2017. I communicated with him and he indicated that he attended an event on Feb 13 of this year and had logged an attendance. I confirmed that. Questions? Is there some delay before the recent finds are made available to the checker? Is the checker not including finds on eventby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The checker I am requesting does not need to include Canada. If the currently available county data does not consider corner to corner contact as contiguous/adjacent that's OK. I'll change the definition of contiguous in my proposed cache.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Am requesting a checker for the following challenge: (cache GC6TQ77) Cacher must have found at least one cache in 100 contiguous counties. Counties are considered to be contiguous if their borders are touching even if only at a corner. A checker has recently been developed. see <http://project-gc.com/forum/read?8,6631,7249#msg-7249> I do not know if this checker includes Canada.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
If it would not be too rude, perhaps you could suggest he use a different language translator or forward my note.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you again. The other GC code has been archived so I created a new cache. A small comment. The phrase for a failure on the Fizzy "Fail: I had only 0 total loops of 1 needed" Is clear about the failure, but can be improved in identifying the reason for failure. If it's under you control, may I suggest, one of the following: Fail: You are missing 1 difficulty/terraby dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

looks like it's working fine. Of course , right now on Feb 1 6 am not many can qualify. Is there a way I can reset the displayed numbers for trials performed to 0,0 when it's submitted for review?by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
have found one possible problem. fam2go shows 2 holes (no finds) in the fizzy matrix but the text indicates that the challenge is met. The Jasmer part is met, but not the fizzy. Did this checker get implemented as an "or" rather than an "and"? I do not qualify because I have no finds for hides in Dec 2016 but will get that taken care of before publishing.by dagrandpa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
