Looks great! Thanks for doing this so quickly.by JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please create a challenge checker for GCA94BV 100x8 Cache Types Challenge. There is a similar checker at https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC91GHG/55663. Mine would only need to be changed to require 100 caches of 8 cache types, adventure labs included, instead of 25. Thanks so much for your time. No problem. Thanks Hügh. This thread can be marked as resolved. Janiceby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Wow! That was fast. It works perfectly. Would it be hard to fix the spelling error that was in the original "then" to "than"? Thanks, Janiceby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like a checker made for GCA1FN6. There is already a checker in existence that does what I need, so I only need it revised for my cache. The checker for the other cache that works is https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC58DVJ/1924. Thanks for your help, Janiceby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The checker is perfect. Yes, they can count 5/5's for both the terrain and difficulty. Thanks so much! JanlarCby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Please create a checker for a challenge that requires the cacher to find 100 D5 and 100 T5 rated caches. Thanks so much for your time, JanlarCby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It is perfect! Thanks so much. JanlarCby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks. I submitted the cache for review. I thought that it would be a simple 'search and replace' of the two misspelled words. If you can manage the edits, I would very much appreciate it. The problem is on line 64 and 66 of the script and the original script was by Target. Is he/she still active? Thanks, JanlarCby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for such a quick response. Yes, the checker works just fine. I really would like the spelling fixed, but would like to submit the cache for review immediately. Will the corrected one end up with a different ID? Thanks! Janiceby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, This challenge requires the cacher to find all 81 D/T combinations in a calendar year. There is an existing checker for the same challenge at https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6NFPW/27120. Would it be possible to adapt that checker to use for my challenge? I also noticed that the checker for GC6NFPW had spelling errors and wondered if they could be corrected in the checker for my cachby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I contacted Target and he made the changes that were needed. This thread can be closed.by JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Due to the new location rules, I need a revised script for GC5WGKX. The original is at http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5WGKX/21288 Changes: Instead of a radius around Calgary, the location will be the province of Alberta. Instead of the list including 25 active caches with the most favorite points, it will include 30 active caches. Not changed: 20 found caches that meet the criteria aby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks! you are great!by JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Heh, that's funny. Now that the tag is spelled correctly, I tried the script with one of the owners in the top 20 (Hedgehog's spoon), but her caches don't show up. She should have GC2AYVY at 87 FP and GC58P3A at 81 FP on the list. Thanks, JanlarCby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Not quite. Now there is an extra d on the end of ownedasdfoundby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Wow, thanks Target. The script is perfect! I think there might be a typo in the tag though. ownesasdfound should be ownedasdfound Thank! Janiceby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks hampf and Target! I think that Target has the idea exactly as I was intending. I had planned on putting out this challenge before the moratorium and it was to find or own the top 20 caches (by FPs) in Calgary. I changed the criteria to find caches with over 60 FP, just because I thought it would be easier to create a challenge checker. Thanks Target. I look forward to getting a checker that meets my criteria. Unfortunately, the buggy checker in the link has been disabled - probably for debugging. When you said, "The list of the top 20 is customized for the user and owed caches are removed from the list," does the owner of several of the top rated caches, have her list decreased by the number she owns (making fewby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Too bad it can't be done since at least one of the cachers who own caches in the list might not have a chance to qualify at this time without logging some of her own caches (4 on the list). She is the type of person that probably would not want to log her own caches as found. I suppose I could go with the found only option. She might not even be interested in getting the challenge. I am not sure I understand you. Are you saying that it is not possible to allow a cache owner to count their own caches if they own several caches in the list with the FP variant? I would really prefer to include those cachers who make such wonderful caches, rather than penalize them. I am not familiar with the LUA language, but I wonder if an 'if...then' condition is possible as folby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I have a problem. If I leave out the "or own" option, it would exclude those who own caches with lots of favorite points. For example, there are three cache owners who own many of the caches that qualify for this challenge. By leaving out the "or own" passage, they will be penalized by not being able to include their own caches, and one might actually be excluded from achieviby JanlarC - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Can you please write a checker for this cache. The requirements are to find or own 20 caches within a 20 kilometer radius of Calgary City Hall (T2P 2M5 or N51° 02.763 W114° 03.441) with 60 or more favorite points. Currently there are more than 20 active caches available. Counting archived caches, I have found 28 that meet the criteria.
