Damn... I dont qualify... doubt I will be back that way anytime soon I did not make it I had only 15 finds and needed 25 Filters:( region:Washington , county:Kittitas County (WA) , country:United States) I made it with 5 different types and needed only 2 Filters:( region:Washington , county:Kittitas County (WA) , country:United States) Found Types: Wherigo Cache, Unknown Cache, Traditionby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Here is a link to your checker. Please test it and get back to us https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC83R9B/40700by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I created a new script... it 'might' even be able to be reused if we find any similar challenges (sub streaks) Have a test and get back to us please. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC34R85/40595by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I cleaned up the output to list what day was achieved on what date....you might want to run it again and replace your textby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Here si the checker, can you test it and get back to us https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7W5N2/40591 btw... this seems like a very hard challenge. I recently had difficulty getting a challenge passed review that required just 1 find with 300 FPs. There were only 2 in all of Australia.... maybe where you are from there are lots!by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
What can I say, I was bored and I thought I would practice my lua.... https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC5M46V/40570by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This has also been asked in the archived thread https://project-gc.com/forum/read?11,19158 vogelbird can modify his existing scriptby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Here are your checkers. I have made the event ones 'any event', being Event, CITO, Mega & Giga. If that is not what you wanted just let me know I and I will modify them. Please test to make sure you are happy, and get back to us. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC83DD6/40439 https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC83DE9/40440 https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC83DFY/40442by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
working on them now...by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The challenge also has an exception for Virtuals....an 'X' anywhere in the cache title is OK.... it seems this is only OK for virtuals. After a bit of scratching around, I think this will require one of the existing Alphabet checkers to be extendedby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
My apologies for saying I would do it and then disappearing.... I was busy with family stuff, but I am pleased you got a good resolution... probably better than I could have doneby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
My apologies, wasn't sure of correct etiquette, I have had to delete checkers before. I assumed it was all about putting requester firstby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect. vogelbird, please delete your checker https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC80M87/38702by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Assuming you test it and you are happy! Please replace your link with one to this checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC80M87/39581by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This will need a new script....unless I am mistaken. If none of the others can Tag it with an existing script, I will give it a go.by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
This challenge is against guidelines.... it wont be published. Look at 10-Source of criteria. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Here is the checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC45B7V/39449 Can you please give it a test and get back to usby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
As the challenge cache already exists, the challenge cache guidelines don't apply, right? I am going to rely on the order of finds, oldest first from the API, then it is consistent for everyoneby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Working on itby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hmmm, I tried it with all the names I know, the ones with the most finds: Australian team with 33,000 finds. Script returned in 0.8 seconds (success) A Swede with 77,000 finds, Script returned after 44 seconds (failure) I am going to switch the logic a little, and see what happens. Hmmmm, I couldn't get better results, and of course while testing and creating new scripts... Canby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It would be either a memory issue or time issue. Scripts have at most 60 seconds to run before being stopped. I will have a look and see if I can determine exactly why and see if I can modify the scripts algorithms to make it more memory/time efficientby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Checker is done. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7WHQZ/39387 Can you please test it and get back to us. Tough Challenge!!! I am nowhere near qualifying!by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Its no problem, I am trying to do it now.... I thought if it was fixed types a checker script may already exist, but I didnt find oneby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
OK, I think I get it. I have spent several days (well, my spare time anyway) on the logic of this, and I cant make it work like you want. I keep hitting up against the hard limit of script processing time.... the recursion required means millions and millions of loops.... Maybe some Lua experts can do it, but I dont think I canby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Here is your checker: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC828PT/39365 Can you please test it and get back to usby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Are the types going to be predetermined by the challenge... or is it ANY 2 types as long as there are 25 in 5 states?by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Challenges for words in cache titles are not valid. Maybe once, but not anymore https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=127&pgid=206by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
This caused me more headaches than I thought it would... but I am happy with it. I pushed the config in testing to 4 counties with 4 unique sizes/types, and 6 counties with 3 type/sizes... and I still qualified. Both times it included HQ & the APE cache though, so it seems robust. https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC4YEFW/39347 Please test it to make sure you are happy, and then get bby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
The script I used doesn't support it, so it is likely to require a different script with a complicated configuration.... or even a new script. Any opinions anyone ?by GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I will have a look at it, not sure the script will accommodate itby GreyHams - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
