PGC_GetNumberOfRegionsInCountry and PGC_GetNumberOfCountiesInCountry has been implemented. A release will be made in a few minutes, and documentation updated. Though it's simple. One parameter, the country. Returns an int (>0) or false.by magma1447 - Method requests
Is there a current need for all three? The reason that I ask is that GetNumberOfCountiesInRegion is currently technically impossible to do right. Project-GC doesn't keep any connections between regions and counties. It has several polygons, it also knows which country it belongs to, but it does not know if a specific county belongs to a specific region. When implemented from the start,by magma1447 - Method requests
Thank you for reminding me how PGC_GetOldestCaches() was solved in the end. I used a similar approach to solve the above. dontCountArchivedTowardsLimit and dontCountDisabledTowardsLimit was added. Just as with GetOldestCaches it will figure out which is the minimum amount of FP to fit into the <limit> top list, and then return all that has at least that amount. Sorry for the late response. I just found two tickets in the support system regarding this and there is a fix published. Late last week we released a branch we have been working on for two years. Pretty much rewriting all SQL that was older than that. The diff between that branch and master was 18000 rows. There has been some human errors included and this was one of those.by magma1447 - Script development
I am currently working on updating polygon data for Spain. That I started to look into it was much due to http://project-gc.com/qa/?qa=14167%2Fspain-bug-in-maps-geographical-lists , though I don't see the issue there. The number of regions in Spain according to Geocaching.com is 19. Project-GC only had polygon data for 17 of those. We were missing Ceuta and Melilla. These have been added.by magma1447 - Checker news
It seems like it works as I want to if I just write the config as suggested (a bit weird to set needed to 366 when only 365 is needed though). I am currently trying to create a challenge where it's required to have a full calendar with Traditionals (found date/visitdate). Since it's not allowed to require leap day I want that date to be ignored. From what I can see on the checker scripts they would all either require leap day (if set to 366 days), or make leap day optional if setting to 365, allowing another date to be emptby magma1447 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The reason for the fairly low limits is to protect the data of Geocaching.com. Avoiding data harvesting that is, or at least making it harder. If I understand your issue correctly, the best solution would be to return top 100 active geocaches and then also add all archived and disabled on top of that? In programming it would be more like, get the number of favorite points of the cache withby magma1447 - Method requests
It probably works as you want if you skip the two first slashes. project-gc.com/Challenges/GC469TF/3 will work as expected in most web browsers. Not sure how easy it is to skip those on a smartphone/tablet though. They have their own ideas sometimes.by magma1447 - Test Forum

I have been asked to show that 10 fulfills it. I have also gotten challenges approved with less if I have been able to show that several geocachers can fulfill it by doing very simple tasks nearby their homes. An example (that I have not tested with the reviewers, yet) could be "Fill your calendar with 1.5/1.5", then it's likely that hundreds of Geocachers can fulfill it withinby magma1447 - Miscellaneous

I have plans for updating the polygon data for Brazil. I have manually reviewed the region names, they will not change. The counties however. There currently are over 5000 counties in the system. I will reduce this to 551 by using another administrative level. Makes much more sense since there only were caches in ~500 of the former 5000. This change has not been done yet. Due to the complexity we will not do this if the demand isn't much higher. One reason is that no new Challenges requires this. The other main reason is that all data is now filtered by the SQL database for this callback. Since we don't have a proper distance function written in stored procedure, implementing this would require us to fetch all potential (bounding box?) geocaches in thby magma1447 - Method requests

It seems like OSM had two missing counties when we last updated. We have updated today again, the count of counties went from 386 to 388. The later fits the number on Wikipedia.by magma1447 - Checker news
We have updated the polygons for Japan, they now use international names for the regions. No county data, neither before or now. It will take a while until the changes take effect. The queue for recalculating where a geocache belongs is quite long right now.by magma1447 - Checker news

I did not manage to leave this. I looked into OSM. There are two issues with the OSM polygons. 1) The lower level administrative borders does not cover the country, not even closely. I don't know if the fact is that they have a lot of "no mans land" or OSM is incomplete. It's not usable anyway. 2) Their counties are silly small (compared to the big country).
