That was very quick. Thanks, Svarträv, for this checker and all of the work you do to make this hobby run smoothly. Porkwatch (a.k.a. Marty)by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I would like a checker for GCA4TQM The challenge is to find counties that contain the U.S. state capital for 15 states. Washington D.C. counts. I currently have a checker for 25 states that was produced for me by Hügh. If it could be modified to check for only 15 counties (New challenge) I would appreciate it. The requirements, as written in the challenge, are as follows: The Challenge: Fby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi again, Hügh. I probably misread the AR county. I have just had the bandages removed from my left eye, which is my better eye, after 2 operations for cancer. Squinting to read stuff is hard at the moment. You are totally right. The state of Alaska is divided into 19 organized boroughs and one Unorganized Borough. Alaska and the state of Louisiana are the only states that do not call theirby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hello, Hügh, and thank you for the work you do for the geocaching community. I knew I needed the GC code when I started the request, but I somehow forgot to add it. It is: GC9YN6K Several of the listings are incorrect. For example: The county in Arizona where the state capitol is located is Maricopa County. The capital of Arkansas is in Pulaski County. Here is a corrected list of countiby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The requirement is simply to find a cache (any icon) in the county where you will find the city where the State Capitol is found in 25 different U. S. states. Washington D.C. counts as a state. In reality, I would like the requirement to be: Find a cache (any icon) in the state capital city of 25 different U. S. states, but I understand it is too difficult to create a checker for cities.by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, You are right. Both of those cachers had found Little Communities Exchange cache in Oregon, but did not log the New Zealand half of the exchange cache. I contacted TurtleLP and she said she had forgotten to log the other half. In the meantime, p6363strib has died. So... your checker seems to be perfect. Thanks for your help. This message is for vogelbird: I need help! I just checked the checker with some people I know that qualify. (The reviewer required that I produce 10 locals that qualify just to be sure that the challenge isn't too obscure.) Both of them have a cache in New Zealand at S46°, and each of them have a cache at or above N59°. That should produce a minimum of 95° of separation. It's complete, vogelbird. Thanks for all of your help. My challenge cache is awaiting the local reviewer to publish the cache. I really appreciate all that you do for the geocaching community. Porlwatchby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I have tried to find an existing checker for this challenge, but I can't find one. My challenge is to find 2 caches that are more than 60 degrees of latitude apart. (Longitude doesn't matter.) I currently have a challenge (with a checker) for 30 degrees. I found one for 45 degrees, but I need 60° for this as yet unpublished geocache challenge. (GC99QEN if you need the GC#) Thanks, Poby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Not really. If anyone has fixed the checker I don't know how to find it to reinstall it on my challenge page.by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It works great. Thanks.by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I'm sure there is a checker out there for this, but I can't find it. The Central Oregon Geocaching Group adopted an icon challenge cache and we would like to add a checker to it to streamline the process. It is GC36RQW. The requirements are simple: Find at least one of six (6) different icons or cache types from the following list: Traditional cache, Unknown cache, Virtual cache, Eby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
TravelingGeek, I'm not sure how to request a specific script developer, but if this comes to your attention could you fix it to exclude traveling caches? If I don't get an answer in a couple of says I'll try to find a better way to contact you. Thanks, Porkwatchby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I had a geocacher use the checker for GC7N3CX. It is supposed to give credit for "electoral votes" for each state the geocacher has found caches in. He claims he has never cached in the state of Michigan, but was given credit for 16 electoral votes. could you please double check the accuracy of the checker? So, if that checker works OK I'll just clone it and send the cache to my friends to adopt. I'm sure it meets my requirements. Thanksby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
It's the case sensitive thing. I didn't know that. However, Geo-names themselves aren't case sensitive are they? You can't have a Porkwatch and a Porkwatch. (I don't think.)by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I'm aware of the qualification requirements... thanks. I'm writing this for some friends that qualify, but they didn't want to jump through the hoops to get it written/published. Hello, I think I'll just use it as it is. I can't imagine anybody having several event icons without having 4 others to go with them. I have already put the checker on the page. If I add my 10th state while I'm on my road trip (and I will) I'll activate it then. Thanks for all of your help - past, present, and no doubt into the future. That should do the trick. I'm going on a road trip to Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, and Ontario starting on June 8th. My brother, son, and daughter will meet me there for our 3rd annual road trip. I am expecting that in the 2 weeks we will be caching that I will meet the requirements in those additional states and province in addition to the 9 I currently have.by Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi Voglebird, Yes, I do want to change it. Now the new title is: Challenge - 5 Icons in Each of 10 Different States The current requirements are now: Find 5 different Icons in each of 10 different states or provinces. So, that would include all 50 US states (plus DC too, I guess) and all the provinces/territories in Canada. Originally this challenge was "Log 10 Different Icons" but that didn't seem like much of a challenge, so I have changed it. Currently there is a checker on the page that just looks for 10 icons. Can that be modified to require 5 Icons in "Each of 10 Different States"? If not I'll just archive the unpublished cache and start over because I don't know how to reby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sumbloke, It seems to work great! I checked it with my brother's Geo-name. He has never cached on the Atlantic coast. You had me puzzled on that question about Alaska because I stopped in Skagway while I was on a cruise and remembered logging a Virtual cache. However, after checking my files I couldn't find it. voglebird, The 4 zone checker (https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7MX9W/34495) works great! I tested it with my geo-name and it said I meet the requirements. I also ran my brother's geo-name and it said he did not meet the requirements. Both results were as expected. Thank you so much, Martyby Porkwatch - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I thought that I did. 1 cache has to be found in each zone. The 4 "zone" challenge (GC7MX9W) requires 1 cache in each zone to be found. (4 caches total.) The 6 "zone" challenge (GC7MXA1) requires 1 cache in each zone to be found. (6 caches total.)
