Modified in no time and now everything looks perfect! Thanks a lot, much appreciated! Best Mi(chael)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi vogelbird, thank you very much for quickly implementing those two checkers. I did some testing. Reading the tag configuration I noticed that you put "meters<%3" which excludes the upper bound. I guess the correct condition should be "meters<=%3" to cover the entire interval. (Alternatively the upper bounds in each interval could be increased by 1 meter to get toby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like to request a checker for the following challenge (to be published as GCANZCC ): Looking at the 366 day calender, there should be at least 100 distinct dates, on which you have found a physical cache (i.e. traditional, multi, mystery, letterbox or wherigo) which was placed on exactly that date (ignoring the year of its placement). Moreover at least 70 of those 100 finds shouby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi, I would like to request a checker similar to https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7FTNP/36789 for the following (new) challenge regarding finds at certain altitude rungs as follows: You must have found 10 caches at altitudes up to sea level (0 meters included), 10 caches at altitudes between 1 and 5 meters above sea level, 10 caches at altitudes between 6 and 10 meters above sea leby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi vogelbird, checker works perfectly fine. Many thanks for putting it together in such short time. Only thing confusing is the redundancy in the output of your script (many counties show up over and over again and with the same caches). Would it be feasible to remove those duplicates? Not sure this could be done easily, so I am only proposing. Another way to avoid redundancy would be to vby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, for GCAMWBN I would like to request a challenge checker written for the following challenge: There are 22 counties within Thuringia (Thueringen). The task should be to find at least: 10 different cache types in 1 county 9 different cache types in 3 (different) counties 8 different cache types in 3 (different) counties 7 different cache types in 3 (different) counties 6 different caby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Perfect. Checker works great. Thanks a lot!!! Mi(chael)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi jpavlik, thanks for the reply/replies. I meant "sum of all absolute differences" (going up and down both count). Looking forward to the new script. Thanks. Best Mi(chael)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Is anybody working on this checker request? Two and a half weeks since my first post but no confirmation, so I thought I better ask to see what the situation and/or difficulty is. Thanks in advance for any information.by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes, why not? Finding a cache that far below sea level should count for something, right? It is similar for the other part: Imagine someone had found a cache at 7000 meters above sea level (very few out there), then with another 9 caches barely above 2000 meters you qualify as your sum would be more than 25,000.by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Now it works perfectly. Thanks a lot.by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Very good. The only thing is that I intended the letters not to use ASCII codes (much higher values), but simply their position in the alphabet, i.e. a letter "a" should correspond to one fav-point not 65 etc. Is it possible to change this in the existing checker? (There is a tag saying ascii true...)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for the quick response. In my original request I posted a link to a recent cache having an almost identical challenge GC7FPM3. In fact this cache is part of three similar challenges (GC7FNFV and GC7FN28) of increasing difficulty, all published end of May 2018. Hence I guess this kind of challenge satisfies current rules. Note that the caches I linked above allow for logging a found it aby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

Hi, I would like to put a challenge similar to the cache GC7FPM3 as follows: For every letter in the phrase "Geocaching favorites challenge Santiago" find a cache with the exact number of favorite points as indicated by the letter's position in the alphabet. Hence one would need 5 distinct caches with 1 favorite point (for letters aaaaa) 3 distinct caches with 3 favorite poby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like to put a three part altitude challenge as follows: 1) Find 10 caches with an elevation below 10 m.a.s.l. whose altitudes sum to no more than 25m. Those 10 finds have to include at least 6 caches of type traditional. 2) Find 10 caches with an elevation above 2000 m.a.s.l. whose altitudes sum to at least 25,000m. Those 10 finds again have to include at least 6 caches of typeby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like to put a challenge about finding caches at different altitudes as follows: Find one cache (traditional, multi or puzzle) in each of the following altitude intervals: 0-9, 10-19, 20-29, ..., 990-999 meters (10 meter gaps, 100 total) 1000-1049, 1050-1099, ..., 1450-1499 meters (50 meter gaps, 10 total) 1500-1599, 1600-1699, ..., 2400-2499 meters (100 meter gaps, 10 total)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would like to put a modified alphabet challenge with the following requirements: Find 26 caches starting with the 26 distinct letters (A-Z) of the alphabet. No distinction between upper case vs. lower case, but excluding caches whose title starts with digits or non-letter characters. In those 26 caches not more than 5 traditionals and at least 7 different cache types. The GC-codby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Perfect, works like a charm! I just included the link in the listing and as soon as I get a chance to hide the container I will submit the listing. Thanks a lot. Best Mi(chael)by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, the request is still valid, but since I have been busy during the last couple of weeks I had no chance to hide the actual container and thus submission is on hold. To clarify the planned challenge is asking geocachers to have a 7-stories square pyramid of finds in distinct categories, i.e. at least 1,4,9,16,25,36,49 caches in 7 different cache types, which could be for example: 1 Webcamby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for the quick reply. So if I do not restrict the time period for the finds, what script do I have to use as challenge checker and what are the adjustable parameters for my challenge?by MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I would need a checker for the following type of challenge: Triangle challenge of different cache types, i.e. within given period (e.g. one month or one year) find: 1 cache of one type 2 caches of different type 3 caches of another type ... 6 caches of sixth type Pyramid challenge of different cache types, i.e. within given period (same as above) find: 1 cache of one type 3 cachby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
First of all, thanks for the quick and helpful remarks. I guess the Source of Criteria should not be a real problem as I could use the equivalent of a county around Santiago or even the region (i.e. state) containing the capital. I will check with my local reviewer about the latitude/longitude question. I was thinking about using the city center (kilometer zero) as the center, which is kind ofby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hi, I am new to the forum, but would like to pose a question about the 360° challenges that I have seen in various cities and states. See for example: GC5P1WQ - 360° Challenge Berlin - Brandenburg (Germany) or GC5FC1V - 360º of Colorado Challenge (United States). I would be interested in publishing some kind of such a challenge in Santiago (Chile). I tried to look at the scripts for those challby MiSiYa - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
