Hi bmuzzin This challenge was published today. The checker seems to be working fine. Cheers Colincactusby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
No worries there's no rush I can wait until your Internet is up and running at your new house. I've just been doing some testing of the checker. A couple of issues. Firstly I'm surprised that it doesn't say I qualify with 14-03 (ie with the list from March 14th I gave upthread). Secondly it does say I qualify with 04-01 and gives a list of GC numbers. One of them though isby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi bmuzzin Yes I did mean the day they were hidden rather than the day they were published (apologies for the error). To avoid further confusion lets take an example from your list where these days differ: GC1N5NA. If you look at the cache page at the top it has "Hidden: 14.Mar.2009" and the reviewer log is dated "Publish listing 16.Mar.2009". So why have I chosen this datby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi bmuzzin I believe I qualify with March 14th 2002: GC4201 2004: GCHXGP 2006: GCTWWA 2007: GC11EM5 or GC11EMD 2009: GC1N5NA or GC1NMY3 2010: GC251MB 2011: GC2PR3F 2013: GC47NVE 2015: GC5PCFE or GC5PCKE 2017: GC7248N 2018: GC7KHXR or GC7KHZF 2020: GC8MQW7 2021: GC97JBP 2022: GC46ZGX 2023: GCA5ZT4by colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi I'm looking for a checker for GCAEJVB - The Birthday Party Challenge For this challenge you need to find 15 caches All must be published on the same date (the "birthday") but be published in different years Events are not allowed - only caches Finds of your own caches are not allowed Note that this is not a challenge to find caches on the anniversary of when they wereby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi Hügh Thanks for those. You will probably notice this when you come to them but I've had a look through the list and found that 224, 232 and 279 are also (like 130 & 131) not simple rectangles Cheers Colincactusby colincactus - Checker requests
Hi Hugh Thanks very much for doing those challenge checkers. I've had a look through all of the Ordnance Survey Explorer map challenges to see which ones do and don't have checkers. The following appear to not have checkers Explorer 130 GC501MB Explorer 131 GC501T6 Explorer 145 GC3ETP0 Explorer 158 GC4R5NX Explorer 167 GC4QQBE Explorer 168 GC4QQB6 Explorer 179 GC4QQB8 Explorby colincactus - Checker requests
Hi vogelbird Thanks for that. I've discovered that the first of these GC51B6F (Explorer 162 Challenge) was unfortunately archived by its owner today. So there is no point doing that one now. The other two GC5KMYB & GC55BE6 still need a checker though Regards Colincactusby colincactus - Checker requests
Hi Is there any update on when these checkers might be done? Thanks Colincactusby colincactus - Checker requests
Thanks - end of September would be greatby colincactus - Checker requests
Hi Could we have checkers for these three challenges: GC51B6F - Explorer 162 Challenge GC5KMYB - Explorer 171 Challenge GC55BE6 - Explorer 172 Challenge These are all "Explorer" challenges for which you have to find a cache in each of a given number of the 1km grid squares of an Ordnance Survey Explorer map. We already have checkers for some of the other Explorer challenges, fby colincactus - Checker requests
Hi vogelbird I've tested it with user Mang and it correctly gives that they qualify (38 counties) I've tested it with user sao_9 and it correctly gives that they don't qualify (20 counties) So all looks ok. Do you need me to look for somebody with exactly 25 counties? (I've tried doing that but it says that as a non-paying member I can only make 10 checks in 24 hours)by colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Could we have a checker for GC3Z3HN "Collecting Counties Challenge - Church Micros 25" This requires you to have found a church micro in 25 counties. There is a checker already for GC56T6G "15 Counties Church Micro Challenge Cache" which is the same thing but which only requires you to find them in 15 counties. I'm asking for this as some people are getting confusby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
HI Vogelbird Thanks for sending me the full text file. I’ve compared it with the GSAK result on BaSHful’s website and found the difference. Its this one: TQ 09 67: GC684TQ - Aranea (2016-11-02) I’ve confirmed that Bashful has found it so it looks like the bug is in the GSAK macro rather than with the Checker you wrote. Interestingly BaSHful DNF’ed this cache (on 24 Dec 2015) before latby colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi vogelbird There appears to be a bug with this checker (I'm the cache owner by the way). Somebody logged the cache this evening (BaSHful) and he said that the GSAK macro results in 181 squares whereas the Project-GC one results in 182. We don't know where the extra one is coming from. He has an image of the GSAK results on his website (the link is http://www.15ddv.me.uk/geo/chal/by colincactus - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
