Thanks for everyone's assistanceby firesafe - Miscellaneous
I have a couple of challenges in Australia that use the LGA areas. Over the last couple of weeks something has happened with the unincorporated areas. They seem to have now been excluded from the checker results. This has led to some previous qualified cachers now no longer qualifying. Does anyone know what has happened and is there a fix. Thanks Scott Challenges: https://projeby firesafe - Miscellaneous
It has taken a while but have finally got one challenge cache published using the script. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8050T_indian-pacific-challenge-east The plan is to get one published in each state of Australia so that which ever State you are in, you will be able to log a cache. Or go for the whole set. :)by firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Disregard last. I have worked out how to clone - https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC7RJ1P/35761 :)-Dby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Not knowing how to clone a tag. I am putting together the northern cache for the challenge so need a clone of this checker thanks GC7RJ1P Indian-Pacific Challenge - North Thanks Scottby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Does that mean I can't link each cache to the same checkerby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Sorry for the delay. I have been in the outback with little or no phone or internet. Have just made Darwin. Have just done a couple of checks and it looks great. I have decided to place 4 caches now using the checker. One in Perth, Darwin, Melbourne and Sydney so that anyone who is travelling can sign one as they finish the challenge. Eventually will probably have the original in Adelaide andby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
In the US challenge that this is based on has "Counties separated by a river are considered adjacent, even though there is not a bridge across the river between the counties." So I cant see why counties on either side of a river are adjacent with or without a bridge.by firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
The Indian Ocean actually extends from Cape York to Tasmania but the Challenge is more looking to be from West Coast to East Coast so I have looked at the following councils to be the Indian and Pacific. Indian Ocean - https://mycouncil.wa.gov.au/ Wyndham-East Kimberey Derby-West Kimberley Broome East Pilbara Port Hedland Karratha Ashburton Exmouth Carnavon Shark Bay Northamptonby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)

I have spoken with our reviewer and he has placed a few hurdles to publishing and one of them is a checker is needed even though the challenge can be determined by the county map.by firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I will check with our reviewerby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I am looking for a checker similar to https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC59480_maxbs-golden-spike-contiguous-county-challenge but for Australia. The challenge I am proposing is for finding a cache in a string of counties from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean across Australia. Thanksby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Cache is now published - thanks for your help :)by firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thanks for your help. I just need to get it approved now. There are only 8 that have achieved it and our reviewer likes 10. I may need to get it adjusted as there are another 5 that have found 67. Will let you know Scottby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
There is also another LGA of Gerard - http://www.lga.sa.gov.au/page.aspx?c=4180by firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
That is the one. Although for the challenge I am looking at people only needing to get 68 out of the 72 counties. Scottby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I am putting out a cache which involves finding a physical cache in every LGA (County) in South Australia. It is similar to the Victorian LGA Challenge (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5DFFR_victorian-lga-polygon-challenge) but using the LGA's in SA. I have a kmz of the SA LGA's but dont have the smarts to put a checker together. It will be https://www.geocaching.com/geocachby firesafe - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
