It's come to my attention that someone has written a challenge checker for my old challenge cache (published before checkers were required) without asking me. Problem is its wrong and it turns out people have been using it. I've just had to delete several logs that have mistakenly used this checker and think that they qualify, when they don't. Can someone please delete this chby day1976 - Miscellaneous
That is perfect. Thankyou!by day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Oh cool, thanks. That does look better. Although it would be good to list all the LGAs, for people who don’t have a find in each one. If that’s possible. Thanks so much for your help.by day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Also, In the script output, is there a way to let people know how many they have found in each LGA, or how many more they need to find? Not a big deal if not, would just make it easier. Kind regards Day (day1976)by day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you. Yes, I realise I don’t qualify yet, but it is my aim to qualify for it soon. I have already run it past my reviewer and have been told the idea is publishable, once I have achieved the challenge myself. Aiming for sometime in the next few months, I knocked off 7 LGAs off my list just last weekend! Once again, thanks for the checker.by day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
GC94WXD - 12 finds in every LGA in Victoria, Australia There are 80 listed LGA (Local Government Areas) listed under Victoria, Australia. I would like to create a challenge whereby you are required to find at least 12 in every LGA (so total of 960 cache finds). All cache types count. Archived and disabled caches count This is a new challenge. For those not qualifing, a read outby day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi vogelbird, After much back and forth with my reviewer, I have today got the go ahead to increase the requirement to be 10 traditional geocaches in Australia, all above 1500m elevation, all in different LGAs (Local Government Areas). So the checker should be the same as the one that has already been written, except I need to increase the number required to 10. Hoping this is possible. The challenge was submitted for review on the 6th of March, however in light of a number of people easily over-achieving the challenge I have asked if the required number could be raised to 9 or 10. The challenge is being discussed by the Australian Reviewers and I am awaiting an answer. If I get the go ahead, I may need the challenge to be modified, but I will wait until I get an answer from tby day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Yes, With the new rules that came in regarding radius, 50 kilometers was disallowed by the reviewer. They (the reviewer) have suggested 8 traditional caches in Australia, above 1500m elevation all in separate LGAs (Local Government Areas). I am happy to go with this if it is possible to write up a script for it. Is this script possible to write? Someone local was supposed to write it uby day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
To keep you up to date. I am currently working with a stand-in reviewer on this concept as my normal local reviewer is away. I may need to wait until my normal reviewer is back (should be a couple of weeks). Will keep you up to date Kind Regards Day (day1976)by day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hi, I am wondering if this is possible. I would like to do a new challenge on finding or owning 7 traditional caches, within Australia that are all at least 1500m above sea level and are all at least 50 kilometers apart from each other. The caches can be current or archived. The caches can have been found at any time. I currently achieve this challenge with the following GCCodes GC4814Rby day1976 - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
