Good call. I'll get the reviewers take on it first and let you know. I am so gutted about the 'bigger better' challenge not going through. Thank you again for your amazing work on that. Going ahead I'll switch up my sequence for challenges going ahead and run it past my reviewer first, then do a checker request. That should help things flow a bit better. - from CheekyBrby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Gentlemen, (and/or ladies), you are a credit to your craft. Thank you very much.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
I do apologize, I messed up the GC code and didn't catch it at any point. Luckily my reviewer did. I was supposed to type GCA1AB2 instead of GCA149T. I'm really sorry to have wasted your time. Is it also possible to have certain attributes unavailable to Letterbox Hybrids removed from the checker output for a negative result please? Looks to be working well for positive and negative tests. I'm surprised some of the prolific geocachers in my area don't qualify, like tentha and CheekyBrit. I'll pour through their found letterboxes and double check. The list of attributes left to found is an awesome feature! Thank you.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Good morning! The challenge for GCA149T is to find 80 attributes through letterbox geocaches only. Both negative and positive attributes count. The letterboxes can be of any size, difficutly, terrain, location, hidden any date, and found any date as long as it is before logging this as found. This could be done in as few as 6 letterboxes potentially. There are a total of 110 attributes possibleby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Thank you for the building and tweaking of the checker. It worked for both positive and negative tests. The results matched people's found geocaches lists on their profiles so everything seems to be on the up and up. Good guess that 'virtual' size isn't part of this challenge. I've never even heard of a 'virtual' size letterbox. Though I have seen a 'large&by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hello. I hope your day is going well. the challenge for GCA149T is to have found at least 2 letterbox caches for each of 5 different sizes. size 'not chosen' counts but isn't required. Any location, size, difficulty, and terrain will work for this challenge. If possible, it would be amazing if the checker could show the number someone has of each size of letterbox. Wow, that did it. It is really nice to have the extra output beyond what is required. Thank you for fixing it Olalb.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hello checker builders - you lot are awesome. The challenge for "Longitude Coordinate Bingo Challenge" GCA0Y42 is to Looking at the last two digits of the longitude (W) coordinate, find geocaches that end with all 100 numbers between "00" and "99". This is inspired by 'fun run bingo' that uses the 00-59 seconds of their finish times. Any type of geocaby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)

Good morning sir/madam, The challenge for GCA0TRJ is to have found at least 4 different types of geocache with the 'tree climbing' attribute. Events and CITOs count. Will you please help build a checker for it? If possible I was hoping for the output to show all of the tree climbs someone has found, not just the 4 minimum. I qualify with these 4 finds: letterbox: Pirate Boy (GC8by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
YES! Let's honor the fine work bmuzzin put into this and spread the idea. If be nice if you referenced bmuzzin and I, but it's not required. Same for anyone else wanting to do a similar challenge. Reference this one so your checker builder can just adjust the gc code it is linked to.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
These challenge checkers all work brilliantly. The brightly colored chart output is a very nice touch too. But here is a reluctant bit of feedback on how badly I designed the challenges. The local volunteer reviewer in the South East Idaho area, Ice and Wind, opted to disallow this full series together as they are too similar. For similar challenge series they wanted the quantity to double eacby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
100% success. All 12 challenge checkers displayed positives when they were supposed to and negatives when they were supposed to. Superb work. The chart at the end is also brilliant. People who haven't succeeded yet know what to focus on. Thank you very much.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Hello! to make things easier I grouped these twelve challenges into one topic. I can split them up into 12 separate entries if you want. Here are the GC codes for each of the twelve challenges: 30 micro difficulty terrain combo challenge: GC9NH76 Find at least 30 size micro caches with unique difficulty and terrain combinations. 40 micro difficulty terrain combo challenge: GC9NH77 Find aby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (completed)
Reading the room here, I was trying to make creative challenges that haven't been seen yet that would be fun. Instead I seem to be making a really tough chore for the brilliant volunteers for a series of challenges that are becoming more and more obscure as I try to work around the rules trying to prevent challenges exactly like this. Thank you for working with me everyone but let'sby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I have asked my local reviewer for clarification. Thanks for the help on this by the way Pleu. I see this going one of two ways: 1) We get the green light to have the twelve different challenges but remove the need for each of them to be different days. The checkers would run independent of each other and possibly give results from the same day of the month. The list of requirements wouldby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Hello kind volunteer. For this challenge series of 12 challenges, the requirements for each one accumulate, much like the twelve days of Christmas. The first one is easy, the last is pretty tough. First day: A cache with the 'tree climbing' attribute Second day: Two caches with the Park and Grab attribute Third day: Caches from three different counties Fourth day: Four cby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
There was a reviewer meeting about this and the verdict was it would be better to do it as twelve separate challenges. This is great! The script will be easier to write, local cachers get access to 12 challenges instead of 1, and it will be a lot easier to make. This weekend I'll be able to get working on this again. Would you rather me post all twelve requests in this thread, or make separby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
I submitted the geocache page and let the reviewer (Ice And Wind) that we are working on the checker and need their go ahead first before committing volunteer time to designing the script. I added a few images to break down the concept.by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Good idea. Here is an example for the 1st, 2nd, and 12th day: Also, I consulted with a friend and they said the first day task should be a geocache in a tree (tree climbing attribute) and I agree. Sorry to change things AGAIN. With the adjustment, my qualifying dates are: 1st day - 25th 2nd day - 16th 3rd day - 29th 4th day - 13th 5th day - 6th 6th day - 17th 7th day - 15th 8th day -by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Sorry Vogelbird, Another adjustment. If we set it up as a numerical day of all months and years cumulatively, then it matches the DAYS of Christmas better instead of trying to pair months to days. My qualifying dates are 1st day - 30th 2nd day - 25th 3rd day - 2nd 4th day - 11th 5th day - 9th 6th day - 3rd 7th day - 19th 8th day - 7th 9th day - 1st 10th day - 10th 11th day - 7th 12by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Good point. Ok after a bit of work here is my new list of requirements: First day: A mystery cache Second day: Two caches with the Park and Grab attribute Third day: Caches from three different counties Fourth day: Four caches with difficulty 1.5 Fifth day: Five size small caches Sixth day: Six size micro caches Seventh day: Seven caches with terrain 1.5 Eighth day:by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Good catch. I was so focused on the streak regulations I didn't notice the time limited portion in the rules not even allowing cumulative dates across years. Possible workaround: I could design it to ignore the month AND year part and just focus on numerical day of the month. For example the 10th day of any month and any year all accumulated. Since the challenge is designed that you onlyby ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
Pick any twelve different calendar dates of the 366 on the calendar and look at the caches you have found cumulatively over the years. Try and find 12 calendar dates that works for each of these twelve days of Caching Christmas as the list of requirements gets bigger each time. So for the third day you need to have at least the requirements for the first day, second, and third. They need to be 12by ladderguy - ARCHIVE Checker requests (impossible)
