How to pay with paypal without an creditcard?

Last time I paid for my account this was pretty easy. With paypal you can just book some money at your account. I don't have a creditcard, so that was pretty awesome. Nowadays, if I want to pay for a membership and I login by paypal - I can't continue and keep on getting the message that I need a creditcard to complete the transition.

I don't want a creditcard, and I'm not going to get one either. I'll never use a creditcard and probably never will.

Can someone explain how I can pay for a membership without the use of a creditcard?

It's good to know that PayPal works a bit differently in different countries. I am sorry I can't help more than that. I only use it together with my debit/credit card, or money that already exists on my PayPal account (just like on a bank account).

You can ask a friend to pay for you and then pay them in cash. When paying, there is a checkbox to click if you are paying for a different user than the one you are logged in as.

Are you registered with Paypal? If so, you should have the possibility to choose your bank account for paying. When I pay with Paypal I can choose, whether the money shall be booked from my credit card or from my bank account. But as far as I know this possibility is only available for registered Paypal users.

Have you got a debit card? I use Paypal a lot, and though I have a credit card for emergencies, I very rarely use it. Most of the time it's locked in my safe. Paypal doesn't have information about this and takes money from my bank account, though I'm not sure if it's directly or through my debit card.

Login to your PayPal account then click on Wallet at the top and make sure there is a bank account listed if not click to add a bank account. This will then allow you to pay for things online from your bank account rather than from a credit card.

This is the way PayPal works. If you don't have a PayPal account then by default PayPal will assume you want to make a credit card transaction. So the solution is two fold.

A) Make sure you have a PayPal account

B) Make sure you have linked a valid bank account that has up to date details, and of course funds in the account :)

Note if you use the Bank Account feature of PayPal you do not need to add funds to a PayPal account.
