I've been trying to refresh my finds (one cache actually) but do not seem to be getting anywhere. I enter the answer to the captcha, then hit a button, then nothing happens.....

Thanks for any help... Lee

Job queue - empty.... I just tried again then, I press 'Refresh finds' - the button changes to 'Sending' and then just sits like that, for several minutes until I hit 'Close' and nothing has happened. I'm using Safari on macOS Sierra.

What do you mean with nothing happens? Does the captcha-box turn red? Does the blue button switch to text Sending? Does it say Sent?

If the Captcha box turns red your captcha answer is wrong. You can press the refresh symbol to ask for a new image.

Just that - the box becomes 'Sending' and that's it.... never gets to 'Sent'.... how long should it take?? Captcha box doesn't change.
Ah, great info. It should normally take a second or two. Could you try logging out and in again at Project-GC?

The code has been rewritten just a few weeks ago, so there might very well be an unknown issue. If so, we will have to dig into that.

By glancing at the code there seems to be 3 major reasons to return an error.
1) Not logged in, which a logout/login will fix. The site might partially think that you are logged in.
2) The button has been used the last 7 days before. It should then be disabled (light blue) already, and not clickable. In my test case I did now, that seems to work properly.
3) Captcha error. In this case the button should reset back to the original text and the captcha input field border shall turn red.

The first two errors aren't handled very well and the effect you are seeing will happen. The button will be stuck at "sending".
I have found an issue that could potentially be related to your issue (but a completely other effect).

However, the data auto repaired itself before I managed to look into it. Does this work for you now?
Just tried again (at work though) after a fresh login, worked OK (Windows/Firefox).... I'll give it a try at home again tonight....

We are trying to refresh finds, as a CO just changed a cache we have found from D1.5T1.5 to D1.5T5, as it now requires a boat, we don't get little pearls like that often! :)

Thanks for the help....
