It would be nice to be able to duplicate an existing cache list in the Virtual GPS.

Sometimes when I have created a list I want to make a different version of it, starting with the same selection of caches. Maybe add more caches "if I have more time" in one place or "if I drive that way instead". Sometimes I want to split a list into different stages.

So far I have solved this need by creating a new list and copy-pasting the GC codes from the old list. The downside to this method is that all caches are added as new and I don't get the User notes from the other list.

I have also wanted this function, and now I see that it has been included in Virtual GPS (must have been during the last year). As said, useful when wanting to create a subset of an existing list, keeping the User notes.

You could try exporting to a bookmark list, and importing from that. Bookmarks do have a user notes field, but I do not know if that field is utilised in the export/import process.

Just tried this and all user notes disappear, unfortunately.
