I'm trying to create a custom filter that filters out solved mystery caches.
I know there is a module to find solved mystery caches, but I would like to use the filter on other searches also, like when I'm searching for caches in the province I live

Thanks,
Cor

As far as I know this is not possible.

My suggested workaround would be to use the mentioned module called "Solved Mysteries" and combine it with the Virtual GPS and/or bookmark-lists depending on what you want to do.

So, create a virtual GPS, use Solved Mysteries to add all your solved mysteries to the Virtual GPS. Create a bookmark list, export the virtual GPS to the bookmark list.

If you want to show all unsolved mysteries in your region, use MapCompare, select the cache type filter to show only mysteries, use the filter "ignore bookmark list" to ignore the bookmark list filled with your solved mysteries and select "none found" and "owned as found" and the region you want. This should give you a map of only unsolved mysteries in the area.

If you want to be able to plan a route but don't get distracted by all the unsolved mysteries I usually make a new Virtual GPS, start by importing the solved mysteries and then do the MapCompare with all cache types except mysteries so I don't have to see all the unsolved ones.

Both Virtual GPS and Bookmark lists can be used as filters in for example MapCompare.

Can't see that in the documentation anywhere, but I am happily proven wrong on that there is no such option.

I'd say that the easiest workaround is adding all your solved to a bookmarklist and use that to filter on using a custom filter.

Is there a difference between using a virtual GPS and a Bookmark list? Using a Virtual GPS seems easier to use.

The work-around you described works great, however what I would like is a list of (for instance) Traditional’s  and solved Mysteries (that I haven’t found) in a specific area, any idea if this is possible?

The difference is mainly where/how it can be used. For example there's a filter for "ignore bookmark list" but there isn't one for "ignore virtual GPS".

A solution for having both traditional caches and solved mysteries in a tool would be either to add the _unsolved_ mysteries to a bookmark list and use "ignore bookmark list" or add solved mysteries to a virtual GPS and then add the other cache types you want to the same virtual GPS. If you're doing the later I recommend having a bookmark list or virtual GPS with only your solved mysterys, and then make a new one with the other cache types added. Saves you some time if you don't have to start each planning session with making that list of solved mysteries. :)
Thank you very much, I'll give your sollution a try.
