Hello,

why did you sort the new souvenir for the June Solstice 2023 under "Other" and not under "Specific-day"?

Methinks the latter would be the better category for the souvenir.

Grüße vom Sänger

Solved: If I would have read the whole requirements first, I would not have asked this. It's fine in this category.

Since you have six days to find it it doesn't make sense to call it a "specific day", I think "other" is the correct category for this souvenir.

But that goes for all those souvenirs in the category, they are all for a whole week,:
Full sail 2023: https://www.geocaching.com/souvenir/?guid=fbdc951f-27d2-4fff-acd4-9fd362fb3884 You earned this souvenir for finding a geocache, attending an Event, or logging an Adventure Lab® Location from January 1-8, 2023.
Blue Switch 2023:  https://www.geocaching.com/souvenir/?guid=9594c63c-210a-4605-9be1-7f96043d82c0 You earned this souvenir for finding a geocache between May 1-3, to celebrate Blue Switch Day in 2023.
And so on and so forth, ther ain't any "specific Day Souveniers, if you really put it to one day.
The souvenirs you mentioned used to be for one day only but the time frame was extended due to the pandemic. The souvenir for june solstice has never been for one day only.
Pandemic's over, since quite some time, so either drop all of those, that take longer then one day from the "Special Day" category, or leave all, that are around a special day in that category. This random mix doesn't make sense.
I'm just a user so I wont be able to change anything, I'm just saying that the special day souvenirs used to be for actual special days and the solstice doesn't fit the criteria.
Was there any such souvenir in the past? I have at least one find on 21.06., I just don't know which year. And there was none for winter solstice last year, I definitely took part on an event on that day and I didn't get a souvenir there. So it's a "Special Day Souvenir", that fits hands-in-glove with the current other "Special-Day-Souvenirs".
I think you're misreading my comment. My point is that the solstice souvenir isn't a specific day because it doesn't have the history of being a "specific day only" souvenir like for example "Blue Switch Day" or the "First"/"Last"-souvenirs had before the pandemic.
I understand you well, I just don't think that's reasonable.
It has no history at all, but it's about a specific day, solstice it just one day, and it fits with the current dealing with such souvenirs. I fail to see any difference.
Once the others will be returned to just-on-that-one-day, this one will most probably as well do this.

Currently all "special day souvenirs" last a week or such, despite being named after a special day. So either all don't belong in that category, or all.
You don't seem to get my point still. There never has been a solstice souvenir before and since the first one required finding 21 caches it's unlikely to ever be treated as a single day souvenir. Therefor it's not a specific day, it's more like "CITO week" or "CITO season".
OK, sorry, I didn't get this immediately, those who can read have an advantage ;(
I got it on the first day where I found 23 on that day, so I presumed, it was for just my first one. I don't use the official app, it's far too sub-standard, so I only found out in the evening about this new souvenir.
With 21 around the 21st it fit's there quite fine, thanks for your patience.
