Will hosting a CITO also count as an event for Leap Year

I was wondering if hosting a CITO on Feb 29 (leap year) will also count as hosting an event for the "Statistics: Leap Day Badgegen Addons (by Hügh) https://project-gc.com/Challenges/80820" challenge checker? I need both and if one will satisfy the other then it will make it easier.

It should, because I will host a CITO and the checker tells me: "The Event Host. Host any event on Leap day.

You qualified on 2024-02-29, by hosting GCAGZAK (Cache In Trash Out Event). However, you have not yet earned the corresponding gemstone, and thus the leap-day addon does not display on your profile."

Yes, any kind of events counts for the event host badge.
