MD Caching Points
MD Caching Points is a system created by MacDefender[1] and it is used in the Top MD Caching Points-list at Project-GC. The idea is that a more complex geocache should get more points to give a better idea of how "experienced" a user is.
The points are calculated as Type factor * Difficulty * Terrain. For example a Wherigo™ Cache with a D/T of 3/5 gives 30 points (Type factor 2 * D3 * T5 = 2*3*5 = 30) and a Traditional Cache with a D/T of 2/3 gives 6 points (Type factor 1 * D2 * T3 = 1*2*3 = 6). The type factors can be seen in the table below.
