I need a checker for the GC8CKYW challenge

A checker that calculates the minimum distance between 25 caches, in straight line, hidden one for every 25 counties in Portugal. Any county is valid. The challenge is complete if the cache-to-cache distance is less than 500 kilometers.

We think that a checker can not find the best solution and runs out of time if this must be solved.

That was the idea. A challenge like the traveling salesman. But I know that there is still no final mathematical solution.

So I propose a challenge based on this checker:

Find one (1) cache per country in Portugal so that the distance, in a straight line, between two caches is less than 20 kilometers. The challenge is completed if the geocacher gets 20 counties in these conditions. Any county is valid. I think that is possible.

Sorry, I forgot to activate the checker but what you ask is more or less the cache chain checker but in stead of counties it are caches because the script needs coordinates to check against

Yes. Find 20 caches, one of each country, that the distance cache-to-cache (polygon, such as the area checker) is less than 20 kilometers. I think that is possible.

We can only build a checker based on cache coordinates like the cache chain script because there is no county connection file available for Portugal. The other problem is that HQ does not approve challenges on county connectiion files.
I changed the cache chain script example to a maximum separation on 20 km and a minimum distance to 400 km
You can see on the example that you have two lines which need connecting near Aveiro and the line needs to be extended al Nisa (GC4N7DH)

What is the situation with this checker, can it be moved to ARCHIVE Checker requests
