Hello challenge checker creators! There is an older challenge cache in my area that does not have a checker nor is it easy to manually determine if one qualifies. In brief, it requires that you find caches that are at least 5km from the next closest hide. Is a checker even possible for this? And if so, is anyone willing to make a checker for this particular challenge?

No, the checker system doesn't have access to the closest other cache. There's no way to write a checker for it.
