[Resolved] GC7A6Z6 - Take a Hike Challenge!

Total between “Short Hike” + “Medium Hike” + “Long Hike” + “Significant Hike” attributes = 100 finds
Hopefully this is a simple challenge to make or duplicate.
example: If the cacher found 80 short hikes, 10 medium hikes, 5 long hikes, and 5 significant hikes, the total would be 100 and they would qualify.

This is an attributes checker rather then a cache checker. Caches can have more than one attribute

Please tel us which type of checker you require

Similar to this water challenge: http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC72AFG/25465
This example checks to see if the cacher has found a total of 55 caches that include at least 1 of the 5 water attributes.

The Take A Hike Challenge is similar, cacher needs a total of 100 finds between the 4 hiking attributes.

I suspect my checker 28051 above will do what you require. Have you tried that one too?

I think it will work, just without the D5T5 requirement.

The system won't let me run the checker, It says I have hit my daily limit of 10 even though I haven't ran any today.

The D5T5 requirement is disabled in that configuration. According to script 28051:

You have found 91 caches with hiking attributes:

Note that this script only counts the caches once, so if you have found a cache with multiple hiking attributes, it will only be counted once. If this is not what you want, I'll delete this tag.

I counted 97 on my profile and found another 3 this weekend, not sure when Project-GC updates. I guess some of the caches may have had more than 1 hiker attribute.
I may need to change the challenge to 90.

vogelbird's script 28055 counts attributes, so you have 97 there. To me it doesn't sound right to count the same cache more than once, but it all depends on your requirements, so you have two viable options above (28051 counts unique caches, 28055 counts attributes). Up to you to pick the one you prefer. And yes, it's easy to change 28051 to 90. Just say the word and it will be done.

I have a bit of concern here:
You have on this request two checkers and looking at you other checkers you are using an attribute checker.

The checkers on this page are

and

28051 is a unique cache checker
28055 is an attribute counter

On all your other challenges you are using an attribute counter.
Please tell us which checker will have to be removed

Sanders_Sooners: you've missed the point that vogelbird tried to make. You need to be consistent in all your challenges. All the others are attribute counters, whereas this one you opted to use the cache counter (on my advice). You might need to switch and use vogelbird's attribute counter for this challenge too.

Honestly I like the attribute challenges better because they are easy to add up using the profile and the number can be higher. Also, I don't mind the Hiker Challenge being a Cache challenge because the numbers would be close.
I can leave it as a Cache Challenge or change it to an Attribute Challenge, I'm good either way.
Let me know what you recommend.

It's not for us to recommend, but for you to decide which one you prefer. All your other challenges are attribute challenges but this one is a unique find challenge, so based on having all the other challenges being attribute ones, this one should maybe change to an attribute one too. Your call though. We can do both, as evident from the discussion above.
