[Resolved] New checker for a Challenge GC6Q1X6
August 11, 2016 09:15AM
This is a new request for programming a Challenge Checker for GC6Q1X6.

The following requirments are valid for the challenge:

1. Fill the 81 Matrix with geocache that have at least 10 favourite points
2. The sum of all FPs of this Matrix should be at least 10000

The output of the checker should be a list of the caches that qualify and the total number of FPs of these caches.

Thanks in advance for programming!

Do you meet the requirement?
The average FP of the 81 find will be 10000/81=123 FP
And are there enough caches in your area to meet the requirements?

What you are forgetting is there are some caches which will be extreme outliers from the average - for instance Carnatic has found Geist des Hagen which has 5438 points alone.

Hi Target,

yes I am meeting the requirements, even almost with the top 5 of my finds. Besides Geist des Hagen, there are many caches with more than 1000 FPs in our area.

Hi,

is there any progress on this checker request? This one should be quite straight forward...

Thanks in advance for a quick answer,

Carnatic

Hi there, unfortunately I did not get any response on my posting a month ago. My request for programming this checker is now pending since August. Thanks for giving me an update.

I modified a checker to match this challenge:

Let me know if it satisfies your needs or you wish some broader reports in the logs.

Dear Jakuje,

thank you very much! This looks perfect to me. :D. I am happy that it is finally programmed. (:D.

Thanks again for your efforts!

Carnatic

PS: Would you also take care of my other checker request? Or is Target. still working on this?

...one more question: The numbers in the grid are the number of caches above 10 FPs? This would mean that almost 50 % of my finds are above 10 FPs, which seems to be too high.

If you run the ckecker with my name, you should be able to see the how it looks if you do not fulfil the challenge. It will report the conditions (this is for cacher with even less finds):

Quote

Fail: I had only 1770 total FPs on found caches of 10000 needed
Fail: I had only 0 total loops of 1 needed

and then the fizzy grid with fulfilling caches (>=10 FP).

Yes, the numbers in the grid are only the caches above with 10 FP and above. I have similar ratio (~40 %) of the caches with this amount of FP and I verified the number in the map compare (with custom filter for caches >= 10 FP) and it reports the same number.

I will have a look on the other.
