[Resolved] GC6MG4M - Alberta Jasmer Challenge

Hi,

I'm looking for a checker for my unpublished cache, GC6MG4M - Alberta Jasmer Challenge. The requirements (as confirmed by a reviewer) are as follows:

Goal: Find at least one cache placed in each month, from the year 2000 to now. The geocaches must be placed in the province of Alberta, Canada.

Notes:
1) If there is only one active geocache for a particular month (or none at all), this month is excluded from the challenge. This prevents the challenge from being impossible if the single cache goes missing or needs maintenance. There will always be a backup, assuming the caches don't go missing / are disabled at the same time.

2) Geocaches can be of any type, and all previous finds count towards a month (even if the cache is now archived).

3) Geocaches placed outside of Alberta do not count towards this challenge.

4) Finds on the Brass Cap Cache (GC43F3), Stash n Dash (GCA0D6), LEAP FROG (GC4411) do not count towards this challenge because the hidden date is continually renewed. The challenge checker cannot distinguish previous hidden dates, therefore these caches (and any similar caches) are not included for this challenge.

I have also made a spreadsheet showing the currently available months:

Please let me know if more info is needed!
Thanks,
Brendan

Here is a checker http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6MG4M/22472 but there are problems associated with this checker.
Item 1. It wii not autodetect if there 1 cache left in a particular month
Item 4. The checker cannot exclude GCcodes

Excellent, thank you! This is a great start. I have a couple concerns though:

** It does not appear that the checker filters for caches placed only in the province of Alberta. This is a key point for the challenge. **

Also, regarding:

Item 1) Alright. In that case, when caches are archived in the future, can I request an edit to the checker? The reviewer made it clear that there always had to be more than one cache active to find.
Also, if this can't be programmed in, can we eliminate some months?

Months that ARE NOT available include:
All of the year 2000
January and March, 2001
March 2002
November 2003.
All other months have two or more caches and are a part of this challenge.

Item 4) That is okay. It will just default finds on these to the most recent month.

Everything else looks great so far. Thank you for the help!
Brendan

The checker is adjusted to skip November 2003.

The filter Canada, Alberta was not working correctly but is now working correct.

I checked with cachers from Ontario who had completed the jasmer and did not cached in Alberta with a result that they found 0 caches for the challenge

Technically speaking, this appears to work perfectly, thank you!

Only other comment is from an aesthetics point of view. For 2001, many of the months say in red "Not yet found", and the same months in the section below have caches.

ie it doesn't say:
Feb 2001
(skip March)
April 2001
May 2001
... etc.

See what I mean below:

Everything else looks great, thanks so much!

In the example log it shows
[brendan714](https://www.geocaching.com/profile/?u=brendan714) has used [Project-GC](http://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC6MG4M/22472 "Project-GC Challenge Checker") to see if he/she qualified for this challenge and he/she did.
