[Resolved] Checker for counting countries & types
August 29, 2019 08:56PM
I'm looking for a script that counts types found in a country. Every cache type found in a different country counts as 1 point.

For example, let's say I've found:

a traditional, multi, mystery in the Netherlands
a multi and a Wherigo in Belgium
a traditional in France

Then this would add up to 6 'points'. The checker then needs to check for a certain threshold (which comes as a parameter). In my case, I would tag this for 100 points.

Is there such a script out there?

I believe it can be done with the Multiple test Checker (by Target.) enhanced (by sumbloke). Let me have the GC codes and points levels if you don't manage.

I've looked at the script, its documentation and its tags, but I still don't see how it could work. Could you give me a hint as for how the configuration would look like? I don't have a cache listing yet.

As a further explanation for what I need: https://project-gc.com/Challenges/GC8ACZG/43724 sort of does the trick, except that it should check for the the number of filled cells.

As a way of getting to learn challenge scripts, I've already created a working script myself. Still, if there's a script out there that was already capable of doing it, I'm still interested. (:P)

Your script will probably be better since the way I envisaged it requires iteration over each cache type.

Thanks, if I had known about that script, maybe I wouldn't have written my own. I do think mine returns a somewhat nicer layout though: https://project-gc.com/Challenges//44683. Feedback is appreciated as this is my first script. (:P)
