Re: Checker required for GC534GY: Explorer 288 Challenge

I'm hoping that you will be able to provide a checker for the geocache GC534GY Explorer 288 Challenge (https://coord.info/GC534GY)

Checkers already exists for this type of challenge, on both GC3GK87 Explorer 146 Challenge (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3GK87_explorer-146-challenge) and on a similar one based around Explorer 300 (https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC5JFNQ_explorer-300-challenge).

The area covered by Explorer map 288 are grids starting in the north west corner at SE 08000 42000 and finishing in the south east corner at SE 28000 04000; a total of 819 possible squares.

The challenge is to have found caches in at least 288 different grid squares on the Ordnance Survey Explorer 288 map.

A GSAK Macro exists which produces the output shown in the attached image. The orange squares are ones filled by our finds.

What is the situation with this checker, can it be moved to ARCHIVE Checker requests

Apologies, I had a brief look but haven’t had the opportunity for a detailed look. I’ll make that happen and get back to you as soon as possible.

Hi, having looked the area appears to be correct, however one small (?) change is needed. The challenge requests that the published coordinates are used rather than corrected coordinates - is this possible? If so, once that alteration is made, I can check again but it should be good to go.

The checker uses the published coordinates on the listing. It is not possible to use corrected coordinates because these are not known in the checker system.

So, the output is showing corrected coordinates for caches on the map, but they are representing the correct original squares?

No, the output is showing listed coordinates.

Can you give me an example of what you mean?

This shows the checker result for our account - I've highlighted one cache that has solved coordinates for us and is outside of the grid altogether. Am I to assume that this fulfils its original square but I see it in a different location because our account has corrected coordinates for it. (Hope this is clearer!)

@Flash and Grubbly, Just a FYI, you can turn of the corrected coordinates on the map. Click the G-icon in the left menu and click on the green checkmark to move the cache icons to the posted coordinates. :)

I did not know this! Hope you understand my confusion.
