Re: GC1A4FT 100 day streak, caches from a specific owner

I was wondering if it was possible to make a checker for this old grandfathered challenge: GC1A4FT

The criteria is to find at least one cache, placed by user King Boreas, for 100 consecutive days

This checker seems to show a majority of my finds from this owner as 1-day streaks and also added 15 non-consecutive finds before my streak for some reason, right now I am at an 80 day streak but it shows 95 because it includes these:

That is very very weird because that is not what that should be doing. Looking into it...

I think this works as expected - it says you currently have an 84 day streak, ending today. I assume you want the checker because you want to qualify in the next few weeks:).

Most of the previous finders don't qualify, except for the last one, however... they might have qualified at the time they logged it years ago. If KB adopts out a cache, then that "breaks" the streak, even though he might have owned it at the time that the person had built their streak. Unfortunately, we can't retrieve that information in the script, we only know the current ownership state, so there's no way to know if somebody qualified previously, but then "unqualified" because of an ownership change. It's also possible that somebody thought that KB was the hider for a cache, but was incorrect (for example, anybody could put "King Boreas" in the hidden by field, even though he wasn't the hider). I had another challenge checker where this was the case, and it's kind of heartbreaking for the person whose massive effort gives a failure on the checker.

Anyhow, as an example, I tracked down one broken streak on this cache:

The hider on the cache page is "King Boreas and Khoda", but when you click on the placed by link, it points to "oakwilt". And there's a log in 2019 saying the cache was transferred to oakwilt... so likely that person qualified at the time they logged it in 2016.

Yes, this works as expected. This cache owner adopted out a bunch of his caches in 2019 so anyone who qualified before then probably doesn't pass anymore for that reason. Thankfully I planned for that and thus the checker works exactly as I need it. Thank you
